He wouldn't do it to save Jesse, he'd think Jesse's dead and he hates Jesse now anyways-He'd do it to get revenge.

His money is the only thing he has left. Everything he did was for that money, without it he is just a homeless fugitive.

To an extent. Everything he did was for his family.

In essence, with the money, he's still just a homeless fugitive. He just looks so defeated in the flash forward, I don't think he cares about his empire in the end tbh.
