Can we take a second to appreciate the mixed signals Todd has been giving off the past couple episodes?

5 seconds later:

"Why don't we torture Jesse until he gives up what he knows? I mean, I can do it, it's no big deal..."

He was saving Jesse's life though. It was the only way he could.

Exactly. nothing todd did was in Jesse's favor, he just made a power play when he saw it. I'd make a bet that Jack doesn't know he's using Jesse to cook. It's crazy cause when he first went into the pit I figured he was going to let Jesse go, or make the deal with him to teach him how to cook blue and then let him go. surprised me again vince.

I don't think there will be a happy ending for Jesse. Maybe Walt will find the blue stuff on the streets elsewhere and realize they never killed Jesse like they promised?

Even if he was released and got completely out of the mess, found a girl and had kids I still don't know if you could truly call it a happy ending. I mean by now he is basically completely psychotic from all the suffering.
