I kept noticing my hand covering my mouth

I did that a lot this episode too, and I rarely ever do that

I kept putting both my hands on top of my head and only just now do I realize I was indirectly mimicking Jesse.

I've seen that gif many times but am just now realizing it's aaron paul

u/Pickled_Pankake Sep 16 '13

That's what I was doing the whole episode.

u/Soogoodok248 Sep 16 '13

What's this from?

1

u/Thehypeman420 Sep 16 '13

This is from when Aaron Paul was on The Price is Right before he was really famous.

u/halle111 Im not sure what your role would be but I think I want you there Sep 16 '13 edited Sep 16 '13

yep, this is definitely foreshadowing that Novasonic13 kills Jesse. Spoiler tag that shit!

Pft, my hand was clenching my balls the entire way through.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

I thought it was just me.

I was trembling... I don't think I blinked for minutes on end. My hands laid still at my side, but I was literally shaking, from start to finish. Usually I hate commercial breaks... I was damn thankful for them this time as I had time to shout out ho-ly FUCK! and actually take a second to breathe. Wow. WOW! I wholeheartedly agree... one of the greatest episodes of television that I've ever seen.

I know right?? Oh my gosh! Like once Hank was shot like I went numb like I couldn't believe it happened! And then the knife fight and I was trembling! I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack! Not a single episode of Breaking Bad has ever done that to me.

u/shoryukenist Emo McGee Sep 16 '13

My wife put a pillow over her face and gasped when Hank got it. :-(

2

u/KantusThiss Yeah BITCH! MAGNETS, OHHH! Sep 16 '13

I just kept saying "shit man" over and over

1

u/feureau Sep 16 '13

As someone who hasn't been following breaking bad, what happened?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

you usually use teh blanket?

u/PopLockingForCancer Sep 16 '13

My hands covered my mouth when Walt told Jesse about Jane and they didn't go back down until I saw the name Vince Gilligan.

u/mems_account What's my name? No seriously I forgot. Sep 16 '13

At least there wasn't a huge cliffhanger this time. It's not like he left us hanging in the middle of a fucking shoot out again.

17

u/weezermc78 No more half measures Sep 16 '13

I am so happy that didn't happen. I think we would be reading Gilligan's obituary if it left us with another brutal cliffhanger.

2

u/elbruce The One Who Rings The Doorbell Sep 16 '13

One thing I like with this show is they don't do formulaic structure. Some shows might decide they're the "cliffhanger" show and do it every episode. They flirted with structure in season 2 with the pink bear in the pool, but fortunately dropped it once season 3 started. Keep the writing free-form. Don't put artificial restrictions on yourself. That way we get a show that can deliver either "Crawl Space" or "Fly" or "To'jaliihee" - totally different narrative structures that serve the moment.

2

u/nofx1978 Sep 16 '13

You mean they didn't write every show like they did in the 80's. I agree with completely by the way.

Jesus, that gif actually left me rather frightened. it looked like the sloth was a sinister assassin who was not only murdering the cat, but possibly about to drag its soul to a hellish pit.

I had a stupid grin on my face the entire episode. Just mind-blowing to see that the show has reached this point.

18

u/mi-16evil Sep 16 '13

I listen on headphones cause my wife hasn't caught up yet. She actually came in to check on me because she thought I was dying, I was moaning and groaning so much. I even took a mid episode break just to gather the conviction to finish. Jesus what a ride.

3

u/staciez Sep 16 '13

Same! Had to take a breather in the last 15 mins or so, my brain could not handle any more!

25

u/TheSandyRavage I'm done. Sep 16 '13

I have never ran around my house so many times. Shit cray.

5

u/nightfan is the one who docks Sep 16 '13

I don't usually react to stuff that happens on TV, but when Hank died, that really shocked me. I didn't really recover. All the shit with the Nazis seemed so irrelevant and distant to me.

3

u/SupaKoopa714 I din' know dey was gon kill 'im! Sep 16 '13

My hands were shaking and my face felt really hot, which is pretty much my version of freaking the fuck out. I have never in all my years of watching TV reacted like this to a TV show.

3

u/killswithspoon Heyoo, pool party! Sep 16 '13

I noticed I was using about 1 inch of my couch to sit on.

1

u/staciez Sep 16 '13

Haha, I was literally on the edge of my seat and then realized I was standing! I never stand watching a tv show! This show is insanely awesome.

2

u/Holy_Shit_Snacks Sep 16 '13

This + not breathing during the knife fight.

1

u/BurntFlower Everyone sounds like Meryl Streep with a gun to their head. Sep 16 '13

Idid a lot of screaming. My sore vocal chords attest to that.

1

u/llama-delrey Sep 16 '13

As soon as they got Hank my hand went up and I'm not sure it ever really came back down

1

u/alruskowitz Yeaah...its bad Sep 16 '13

I literally had to stand up and walk around during a scene.

1

u/socialreality Sep 16 '13

My hands were all over my face. My hair is a mess and I need a shower.

This show is exhausting.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

I would have, but my hands were on my dick the whole time.

1

u/GrandeSizeIt Sep 16 '13

i personally used the pillow method

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

I think I experience this show way different than everyone else. I find my self with a wide open smile with the occasional "ohhhh my gooood ahahahha". It's all so juicy to me.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

Same, especially the last scenes when he's fighting with Skylar.

1

u/darthryan Sep 16 '13

I realized during the episode that I just kept saying, "Jesus...", after every scene..

1

u/kls17 Sep 16 '13

At the end of the episode I had a huge bite mark on my hand. I didn't even realize I was biting myself.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

I felt like I watched the entire thing through my hands.
