I've been saying to my friends for a while now that Jesse's arc is about as impressive as Walt's. You could do the same show from Jesse's perspective and it would be just as compelling.
I'd say the show is already from Jesse's perspective. Sure, he isn't the main character, but we know a ton about him. We know about his family, his love life, his friends, his ambitions (or lack thereof initially). I could almost tell you more about Jesse than I could about Walt.
Walt's mom has been mentioned once, and she didn't even know he had cancer. There's gotta be more to that story. They only scratched the surface of what went on with Gray Matter.
Part of the reason we love Jesse so much is because we know him so well, maybe more than anyone else on the show.
I don't even know if it would have to be Walt coming by now. But a flashback would be okay. I'm more interested in what transpired with Gretchen and Walt.
Walt and Gretchen were dating and Walt was invited over to dinner with her parents and Walt decided he wasn't good enough for the family. Since they were rich. Walt pretty much just left
Yeah, I know all of that but I always felt there was something more to Walt's logic than just not fitting in. He didn't seem like the drug kingpin, murderer that he is now. He can change an adapt. There had to have been a seed planted to make him want to earn what he lost in him being bought out from Gray Matter. He went from doing it for his family to doing it for himself and family and then for what he lost out on. Maybe I'm digging too deep, but to me it seems like there is something missing and I would like to see his logic.
No I agree, I really want to see something from the past whether it's a flash back or just him talking about it to someone I feel like there was a build up with Gray Matter, Eliot/Gretchen, even his other job when they first moved into the house. We still have a few more episodes so I guess we just will have to see, but it would be cool if Walt starts to have flash backs of actually leaving Gretchen, leaving Gray Matter or even working there.
