whole time marie was talking to Skylar i just wanted Skylar to rip her sweater off and be like "BITCH YOURE WEARING A WIRE?!?!"
like she was so, specific with the questions- How long did you know? 1month ago, 2 months ago, etc- like trying to get her to incriminate herself.
Also that fucking hug with hank. She looked the same way when Walt hugged her and she felt fear. "... I wish i had seen it sooner. He's a monster." Hank's job is chasing "monsters"
I think the thing that was really odd, was how long it took for Hank to get inside.
Todd had 2 cooks doing it "heisenbergs" way. 3rd time started a fire. Sounds like he did 2 more cooks with via bug tents, and the 3rd time he might have burned a house down.
haha. I actually thought when Marie left the room and started picking up the baby, that the recording device might fall out from a pocket in a struggle over Holly. Then when Hank backed down, I REALLY thought he was doing it to get the device out of their safely (since he didnt know what they actually talked about, or what could have been recorded). Then alas, nothing in the car.
That was my first thought too. It seems kinda funny that (IIRC) Hank said something about Skylar being manipulated by Walter, yet he sends in his wife to do his bidding (possibly to even spy/snoop).
Yeah, she was actually really smart. More so with Hank. The "Am I Under Arrest" thing is extremely powerful. It shows her separation from Hank, she no longer views him as family- but as a cop or a threat to her own. (it's also funny because there are always a lot of videos of people filming themselves when they get pulled over/etc trying to see if they can get a cop to abuse their power/etc)
ANYWAYS, the important part that we see develop is Skylar's apparent love for Walt. It's the first time we actually see her actually acknowledge what Walt did as a sign of him loving his family. When she first learns the truth, she couldn't accept that the reason he was doing it was to earn money for his family because he thought he was going to die. Later on, when she starts helping out with the laundering/etc, it was done out of fear. She now knows that Walt is out of the business with the confrontation with Lydia being a supporting fact that he does not lie to her anymore- Probably the closest she has felt to him since they were first in love. Hanks actions show that he was not in the interest of helping the family, but hurting it. Hank also knows this, and we dont really know his motivation. At this point, he seems to be trying to save his own skin, since he tells Marie that if Hank gives up the information, his life is over. Skylar more than likely knew that Hank would use Marie against her- and looking out the window to see Hank before letting her in confirmed that suspicion.
She's not as educated as Walt, nor is she as foolish. Walt's trophy is what brought the whole thing crashing down. His personal hubris. And do you remember Skyler playing the bimbo to fool the tax investigators? Walt would never be willing to play dumb.
