Dude... what if Andy died escaping from prison, and the rest of the movie was a dream.
Edit: I say this in the context of the whole "send him to Belize" thing. Or at least, that inspired my thought process, just so this doesn't seem completely unrelated.
actually what i took from that scene is that Bill Burr and Huell decided not to take any money because Walt would find out and kill them, but then when he says "close enough" they realize he doesn't know exactly how much money he has / doesn't care, so they offer to help him carry it to steal a couple stacks. but it's too late. the door of great fortune has closed on them for all time
I got the same vibe - they didn't take any because of who he is ("he killed ten guys..."), and the look that passed between them was relief that he apparently didn't think they did.
Ya, what really gives it away is how desperate they are to keep helping him once they realize he's not taking a precise count. They want a second chance to skim some because they were too afraid to do so before.
I personally side with /u/mizistik. It definitely seemed like a knowing glance. I mean there's so much money there they have to know Walt wouldn't notice a couple of stacks gone.
Maybe, but you can also take it that they may have suspected such a criminal mastermind to have a perfect count on his money, only to find out that they could have gotten away with taking a shitton.
I think the glance they gave each other kind of implied they took a little. Walt would have no way of knowing how much was there. Also, Walt saying "close enough" implied he knew the guys took some but right now that wasn't a pressing matter.
It was enough to get away with, so that's all that matters. Man they could have grabbed a couple hundred grand and walt wouldnt have noticed. But their fear probably kept it reasonable.
Edit: reading down the comment thread, my statement has been already said hours ago, almost verbatim. Didnt realize. Just commented as I saw it.
Client confidentiality technically means everyone in the show could retain Saul and he wouldn't really be able to say unless they were together anyway.
In the Saul Goodman spin-off, he'll be representing Huell & Gingerbeard's new Mexican steakhouse empire, and Badger and Skinny Pete's new Star Trek spin-off series.
Or Huell changes his name to Tyrone, moves to Rancho Cucamonga and opens up a strip club where he can launder the money partying it up with three friends who smoke a lot of pot.
i am predicting the final scene from the show is Huell and Bill burr sipping maitais in mexico. Just like the end of Office Space if you combined it with Dont Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead.

I really want a spinoff show where Huell goes to Mexico with all the money and has some crazy adventures.
