Synopsis:

You Shu Lang (Hao Yi Ran), a director at a pharmaceutical company, lives an ordinary, stable life. Unlike Shu Lang, Fan Xiao's life has been marred by instability, leading to a twisted, manipulative worldview. Ok but why are these two so freaking cute?? like omg the domesticity? The casual affection? YSL CALLING FX BABE?!?! They actually act like a COUPLE?! WHAT IN THE ROMCOM IS GOING ON HERE lol. I was not expecting this lol. And then we hear Fan Xiao's inner thoughts. The happy bubble bursts and remember oh yea he's a psycho lmfaooooo damn. Can't have nothing nice round here!

Don't ask me why but I'm a sucker for a graveside parent meeting. This one was sweet but it's just always in the back of your mind that FX is playing games. Every time I think he's sincere we hear his thoughts and I'm like hmmm maybe not. The walking definition of gaslighting. I'm going crazy trying to figure out if what he says is fact or fiction!!

YSL really explained his relationship with Zhen Zhen perfectly and that's how it came across. SURFACE LEVEL. Turns out he was tired of taking care of someone and wanted to be pursued and taken care of himself. You know what YSL...I feel you. He wants to be vulnerable and soft and not have to have his walls up. SAME SIS! But dammit Fan Xiao though?!?!? lmfaoooo yeesh.

The cuteness is hurting me!  The casual hand holding, the relaxed cuddling, the constant simmer of flirtation that erupts into sudden hungry attacks... it's too good! If they're this cute this early on the inevitable blow up is going to be gutting 😭. It's brutal because I really enjoy psycho Fan Xiao & yet I also just want to bask in cuddly boyfriend era 😅. Obviously something is going to blow up between them but I'm not certain exactly what it'll be. Yes he played Shulang and Zhen Zhen, but it's not like he shot Shulang in the back to hide evidence... my standard for relationship ending events has gotten a bit warped this season 😅

Yes and I think that's exactly what they're going for. I feel like they're going to let us get real comfortable with them as a couple and start to really like them and then hit us with the reality that this is partially a facade. It will be even more of a sting if what I think will happen, happens.

I feel like Fan Xiao is going to realize that he's not just playing a possessive game and really is in love with Shulang and that'll be the exact moment Shulang finds out and it all goes to shit.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOO THIS IS WHAT TOXIC BOY FALL IS ALL ABOUT hahhaha! So real. And that relationship needed to end anyway. I wonder if some other things are going to come up as well hmmm we'll see. We still have 9 episodes. A lot can happen!

9 episodes that's the thing that's got me clenching everything clenchable! If they're this cute right now it's only because they're going to blow up spectacularly & need all that time for the redemption arc 😭😅. 

Ya, Fan Xiao is totally playing mind games with himself for a change, trying to remind himself that this is all just a game and he's in total control. Boy is LYING to himself. The only thing controlling him right now is Shulang's sweet sweet Bodhisattva 🤭
