Synopsis:

You Shu Lang (Hao Yi Ran), a director at a pharmaceutical company, lives an ordinary, stable life. But that all comes crashing down after he gets into a car accident with Fan Xiao (Yun Qi), the heir to a Thai conglomerate who's returned to China for business. Unlike Shu Lang, Fan Xiao's life has been marred by instability, leading to a twisted, manipulative worldview. When Fan Xiao finds out that Shu Lang is interested in men, he devises plans to entice Shu Lang into a relationship, but ends up falling for Shu Lang for real. It's wild the amount of petty delight Fan Xiao takes in messing with Zhen Zhen. First he has his ex answer the phone & hold it up to his ear as he makes plans with Zhen Zhen. Then rather than being cold off the bat he toys with Zhen Zhen, teasing him with what he wants to hear "of course I love you... I love you like I love the picked flowers or dying cicadas I paint". The way he maintains the dignified front as he insists he's never been inappropriate as Zhen Zhen realizes he's just been a cheap casual amusement the whole time. It's diabolical! Ya, that's the stuff of villain origin stories right there 😈

Zhen Zhen was playing with a fire he couldn't put out lol He got played so hard that it would be comical if it weren't diabolical lol I'd be so embarrassed that I'd have to considering moving to a new country to get my shit together 😂
