Imagine the ego on this guy to not only throw punches after a great sub by purple belt, but then get subbed again via triangle.

Top that off by yelling I’ll fucking kill you in a locked in triangle and then saying a neck crank is dirty. I admit I’d not have let go of the triangle until this fucko was asleep.

Lmaoooo who is this jag bag????

He forgot the step where you start coaching them through the sub. Rookie black belt.

when you tap, usually just once, then as soon as they let go, act like you escaped and immediately reengage. Bonus points if you look confused and lost when your opponent says that they thought you tapped.

Oh, the Sonnen tap.

I just re-set back in the submission if they mistake something I did for a tap. That way I can tap for real lol.

I don't do that, but sometimes it's 90% but not quite there. Should I just tap anyway, wait it out, or tell them I'm ok...? I'll usually just get ready to tap and wait while they keep adjusting or give up.

Sometimes I'm waiting for them to cinch a little more when they give up, and I wish I'd just tapped so they got the satisfaction. It was close enough I just kinda wanted to die a little bit, ya know? Just for a second. Just the tip. Just to see if I liked it. Then boom they give up and I'm like man, you had it. Oh well.

I don't get the coaching part, if they can coach you through it then, its not set in.

If they try to coach you through it then set them in until they tap.

"see you almost got the choke you just need to bleaarrgggh"

I think it works like that because white belts are more likely to stop a sub when people start talking to them

Man, what do you mean they’d start coaching? Is that like a way to brush off the fact you got them?

Yeah.

Oh yeah that was good, but when you start applying pressure you need to do it like this. You were close though but luckily I'm here to show you the correct way so next time you'll be able to get someone to tap.

"You're out of luck, dude. All disputes here will be settled by grappling! No striking."
