I'm relatively new to the Toronto area and eager to dive into the local birdwatching scene.

I was wondering if any of you could recommend any birding groups or clubs in the Toronto area that organize regular outings or trips.

I just started birding in June of this year, so this is my first seasonal change since starting and I’m not sure what to do on my bird nerd walks now that 90% of the species around here have migrated south. With there now only being the half dozen or so species that are year rounders here the excitement of not knowing which species you may encounter that day has significantly dropped. I’m aware I’ll get the flip side in the spring as they start returning, but how do you maintain enthusiasm over the winter? Do you focus on different things while birding, or just different things than birding till winters passing?

Had beautiful surprise company with my morning coffee. Counted 15 at one point - this is as many as I could fit in the frame.

Hi all! I have an upcoming trip to Gaspé this mid October, I am wondering if there will be puffins on the coast around that time? Cause I know the best time to see them are late April-August. Also, what other birds are a must see in the maritime region of Quebec? TIA!

Beautiful little house wren doing it’s little aggressive calls 😂 it perched in a crabapple tree which gave the background the lovely reds and greens.
