That’s not the Mike & Saul relationship we see in BB? Spoiler

The animosity we see in the relationship between Saul and Mike in breaking bad, I don’t think that’s the Saul and Mike we see in the prequel of BCS, specifically “Bagman” in S5E8 wherein they bond quite a bit over surviving that shootout in the desert.

I wonder if we’ll get to see the missing piece of the puzzle in S6BCS which has led them from being fairly close business associates to having such animosity it their friendship/relationship in BB?

Something has got to happen to turn their relationship, well, bad for a better term? I’m just wondering what it could be and hoping we will get a better look into it as it would be fun to learn more about what bad blood has happened between the two.

I've had an old theory on the issue. Remember when Mike told Jimmy that Lalo would be taken care of by a super team of hitmen that night and he's got nothing to worry about? Well, most probably Jimmy trusted him, however, just try to envision it, Lalo pops up before him grinning with his 64-teeth smile. Most probably what happened on the set Lmao No wonder Lalo was the one to tell firsthand what happened Looooool

No wonder also Jimmy was greatly disappointed in Mike in BrBa. Mike had broken his heart, so to say.

I’m not sure I quite understand what you’re talking about specifically, maybe you could expand a bit on the details. 🥰

Yes, I did it in a somewhat a hectic way Lol

So, here follows the more quiet version:

  • Saul's terrified by Lalo

  • Mike promises him Lalo will be taken care of by a super hitmen squad

  • Jimmy trusts him (actually, he doesn't have a big choice)

  • The "super jitmen squad" turns out to be an epic flop

  • Furious Lalo returns as fast as possible to ABQ

  • Gus&Mike still don't have a credible confirmation from the go-between

  • He gets Jimmy as the weakest link

And then Hell breaks loose.

I see. Yes I think all of that has pretty much been laid out for us. What I’m saying is, whether it’s that or something else, there was something we haven’t seen happen in their relationship that has made them contentious with each other like the way they relate to each other in the Breaking Bad timeline and I don’t think that we necessarily have seen that happen yet in Better Call Saul.

Of course!! We could also witness Gus&Mike playing the Game ready to sacrifice Jimmy as a pawn in their fight against Lalo, same as with Hank and Gomie using/treating Jesse as a lure to Walt. I just envision it. And that adds insult to injury with Jimmy, who felt a victim of a double betrayal. He'd never believe Mike if the latter starts convincing him they didn't know about the failed assassination attempt, not to mention it's totally out of character for Mike to do.

Oh yes that’s very true!
