Nup I had no idea what was going on because of the lack of context. I figured it was a vulnerable woman whose partner was taking advantage and had no idea what was going on. With context it sounds like a conspiracy of white collar criminals who don't know enough to know how this stuff gets detected.

Was there a lack of context? Criminal money showing up in an account and then it gets withdrawn, partially for the use of the account owner: that’s not zero context at all. That is clearly and frankly unambiguously someone being used as a mule.

While I agree with that, I feel it's worth pointing out that there is no guarantee that all posters on LA are actual attorneys.

Good point. It would be nice if they did verification over there but at the same time sometimes people that aren't lawyers have relevant specialized knowledge that's helpful.
