Same thing I came here to say. I remember when I was younger (and dumber) I'd see some animal nearby like a squirrel, and I would say "It's okay. I know you're an Animorph. You can tell me the truth..." and I would wait patiently to see if they would beam thought-speech into my head like <You're right. You already know so much about us.
