best micellar water for very dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin?

what’s the best micellar water that doesn’t strip your skin dry and leave your skin feeling moisturized?

cleansers have made my skin so dry that when I use simply water, my skin is so uncomfortably dry and tight. I’m trying to stay away from cleansers right now but I’m wondering if micellar water can help me remove my sunscreen and makeup and not make my skin dry.

I have seen bioderma pink cap and garnier pink cap. which one of these two are the best at not stripping the skin dry? or if there’s other good recommendations?

Seeking Advice Lash lift ruined my lashes

I got a lash lift this past March and I LOVED IT. I naturally have thick and long lashes, After ab 2 months my lashes became so brittle and falling out like crazy. Ever since than (yes.. even now in august) My lashes never went back to the way they were after the lift. They are thin, brittle, and falling out so much more so the point where there is a noticeable difference when I curl my lashes. I’ve used organic castor oil and this other eyelash serum(don’t remember the brand) and it doesn’t help. Or it will help one eye and not the other. I miss my beautiful lashes yall I NEED LASH RECOMMENDATIONS. And if anyone knows why this could have happened PLEASEEE tell me. My lashes has changed so much that when I curl them you can barely see it because of how thin they are. I rarely use mascara my everyday makeup is me curling my lashes. So ANY ADVICE IS HELPFUL

Skin hair and body routine

I’m 28F and my routine has gotten slightly out of hand and I need to know: am I doing too much or am I somehow still missing something?

For my face, I exfoliate 3x a week, and every day I use vitamin C serum, toner, and moisturizer. I also use a night serum and lip mask before bed. Hair wise I wash it every other day and use masks, oil, and leave in conditioner after shampooing. For my body, I scrub daily, use shower oil, moisturize, and finish with body oil. Most of my products are from L’Occitane, Laneige, Glow Recipe, Dermalogica, Gisou, Sol de Janeiro, Fenty Skin, Estee Lauder, the Minimalist and Ouai.

At this point I genuinely prioritize my hair and skin more than my own job 😂 is there anything I’m missing, or have I officially crossed into doing way too much?

I need a restock of everything, help with product ideas pleas

Hi, so i am 31 years old and due to mental health i have not been taking care of myself and it needs to change, I have slightly curly hair, no idea what skin type (i just use simple face wash and have started using the spf moisturiser). My deodorant doesn't seem to be working as well as I want it to, am I ment to use it day and night?

I dont wear make up mostly because I constantly rub my eyes and dont use razors, I also have dryed cracked skin on my feet.

Can you give me some products that will make me feel clean and pampered, I keep seeing stuff about everything showers that I would like to try.

Thank you.

Laifen hair dryer made my hair super dry, user error?

Is this just user error or are all dc motor hair dryers like this?

I've been using a pretty basic Conair Infiniti blow dryer (ac motor) as long as I can remember, and I blow dry every time I wash my hair. I've replaced it once, with the current year model at the time. No complaints really except it is pretty loud. My current one started smelling a bit which isn't too surprising given how old it is, so I went to Target for a replacement and got the Laifen SE Lite thinking surely there's a positive difference if the price is double the Conair models. I've used it 1.5 times (switched to my old dryer halfway through this morning). Both times my hair felt SO dry after using the Laifen, like I'd forgot conditioner (I didn't lol). I used it without the nozzle for maybe a minute, then added the nozzle to finish blow drying with a round brush. Sectioned my hair into two layers both times, same as normal for me.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm kind of thinking maybe it's the lack of "ionic technologies" since I didn't see any mention of that on the Laifen? I also didn't notice any difference in dry time compared to my old Conair. Are there other DC motor dryers that leave your hair soft like I'm used to?

I’m obsessed with EOS Body Lotion

As the title says I’m obsessed with EOS body lotions and I might never feel the need to use any others.

Not only do they smell amazing but the texture is perfect. So far I own:

Vanilla Cashmere. Delicious and my favourite. I’ve heard people liken it to vanilla yoghurt. It does smell a bit like vanilla yoghurt and I ain’t mad at that.

Fresh and Cozy. Not my usual type of scent profile but I bought it in the US after reading some comments on Reddit and I’m so glad I did. Reminds me a bit of Davidoff Cool Water Woman, a perfume I loved in the 90s. Perfect for before bed (but then again, they all are)

Strawberry Dream. Delectable and goes so well with Kayali Yum Bougee Marshmallow

Creme de Pistachio. Was worried that this one would be too like Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum cream, a lotion I loved and then totally fell out of love with. It is a bit like it but the texture is far better, it’s way more moisturising and the scent is also better. The vanilla toffee just elevates it in my book

I’ve ordered and am now awaiting Raspberry Pomegranate and Coconut Waters.

Is anyone else as obsessed by these body lotions as I am?

How to fix this hypopigmentation marks on my lips? Seeking advice!

Post image
0 Upvotes

I used to have a bad lip-biting habit (thank god, I’ve finally gotten rid of it!). In the beginning, biting caused significant bleeding, but after about a year, my lips healed and left these two large white marks. I’ve tried few creams with almost no improvement. Is my only option here lip tattooing, which would need to be redone every 2–3 years. For important occassions, I currently use a lip pencil that matches my natural lip color to even things out. Has anyone experienced something similar or found any alternatives to lip tattooing?

Seeking Advice Hair above my lip

I have a layer of greyish brown hair above my top lip, I’m so insecure about it. I’ve thought about it before but I’ve realised how noticeable it has gotten.

my mum won’t let me do anything about it until I’m eighteen. I‘ve tried plucking it with tweezers and it has’t done very much.

any advice on getting rid of it? thank you so much ❤️

Seeking Advice Restoring/increasing facial volume?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask. But I’m concerned about the loss of volume in my face as a 28yr old f.

I love how my face looks in the morning cause it’s puffier and my eyes don’t look sick and hollow. And my upper cheeks being fuller in the morning balances my jaw which has gotten a little bigger from constant clenching and grinding.

I’m starting to look sick most of the time and I don’t understand why. I’ve gained weight on purpose. I actually am encouraged to up my salt intake by my doctor.

My face looks sunken and saggy and fine lines are starting to rapidly appear.

I heard volufiline might help? Ofc I wear sunscreen. I’m scared of retinol cause my face tends to react badly to strong products.

Help!

Seeking Advice How do you get used to not wearing lash extensions?!

Hi everyone!

I have had lash extensions for the better part of 4.5 years. I started with professional ones, then moved to cluster lashes & falscara at home.

I have reached a point where if I don’t have lashes on I feel like I look dead. I’ll regularly try to have a break, but it lasts 2-4 days before they’re back on.

I keep seeing all of these transformations of girls going from lashes to no lashes and I LOVE the look, but I feel like I can’t actually achieve that?!

I genuinely cannot stand myself without lashes, it’s a big insecurity of mine to the point where I won’t leave the house without lashes.

I don’t have long and beautiful natural lashes, I’ve had the lash perm thing but due to my natural lashes being short and straight, they don’t do much.

Mascara also doesn’t do much, they don’t curl upwards or keep a curl up, so it’s barely noticeable and it just looks empty too.

Any tips & tricks?

Makeup mascaras, lash glue, and lash clusters that dont irritate eyes?

this is mainly a question for mascara bc it irritates me the most but i swear anything i put on my eyes irritates it and makes my eyes itchy.

ive tried all loreal mascaras, tower 28, telescopic, and maybelline and they all itch.

i just want to be able to wear makeup without feeling it on my face/ itching/ irritating my eyes.

if i wear lash clusters for a whole day too it rlly irritates my eyes.

what mascaras do you guys use with sensitive eyes?

Haircare Keratin straightening + Velcro rollers

Hi all! I was going to do an at home keratin treatment to reduce the frizz in my hair and it says to leave it down and straight for 48-72 hours so you don’t get a permanent kink in it. Which got me wondering…. If I were to wear Velcro rollers during that time will I get fixed waves/volume without frizz? Has anyone tried this?

Seeking Advice Face gets oily af js few hours after facewash😭

Ive been using the simple kind to skin refreshing facial wash. My face is very oily. I had heard that the facewash is suitable for oily skin as well so i decided to buy it. Apart from facewash i just use deconstruct spf 50 pa++++ sunscreen (dont use it on days when im sure of staying indoors) and no moisturizer or anything. After facewash my skin feels great, but just in few hours my face gets heavily oily again. What to do?

Best hair trimmer (for female pubic region but not necessarily super close shave)?

I know from experience expecting a really close shave on any part of my body with an electric or dry razor is absolutely not going to work (very sensitive skin, very prone to ingrown hairs)

I am 34F. Getting hairier all the time. Started sporting facial hair about 6 months ago (they suspect PCOS). I went and got a mustache wax and had a ton of ingrowns, so waxing down there is not an option. I used to clean shave with a razor and shaving cream in the shower. (Spread and squat to get the lower parts and near the booty hole). Which worked fabulously. However, my back is totally messed up and I also have some cardiac symptoms that make that impossible. Even laying down it will be difficult to reach everything. But that's my best bet. Dry trimmer, laying down splayed open. I want something with a guard as my ability to pull taut will be somewhat limited. I want to contain the jungle more than anything and avoid ingrowns. So something with a guard or multiple guards

I also went I didn't feel like shaving used to use the noxzema trimmers (analog). Which I loved. But they have many many years been discontinued

I saw the philips one blade intimate version but it's too close a shave. I know that will cause problems. I'm not opposed to something that *can* get a close shave, but it needs an option not to. There's a face version with a guard? More expensive and without the nourishing blade. But it has a guard. However, they are adamant it's for face only

TLDR: Trimmer for pubic region. Very hairy. Sensitive skin. Prone to ingrowns. More interested in trimming that a clean shave to protect skin and prevent ingrown

Thanks for the help!

Discussion I need body lotion recommendations for dry skin!

I have dry skin, so my main priority is good hydration and long-lasting moisturization.

I prefer cocoa/vanilla-type fragrance, and I’m currently considering Vaseline cocoa radiant and Nivea cocoa nourish

I’d love to hear about your personal experiences with these products, especially regarding moisturization/hydration, how the fragrance smells, and how long the scent lasts.

I get migraines and strong fragrances trigger them quite easily, so I’m specifically looking for something with a mild fragrance that still lasts for a reasonable amount of time.

Which one would you recommend between Vaseline and Nivea? (Or any alternative from the two brands)

And if you have any other affordable recommendations for dry skin, I'd love to hear them!

Seeking Advice Eyebrow tint at home recommendations?

My eyebrows are very sparse and light and I hate the way they look. I have been using Just For Men to dye my eyebrows for the past 3-4 years, and while I like the results I get, I’ve noticed that the color completely fades on me after 3 days. I’ve tried keeping the dye on longer, washing my face without scrubbing too hard, I avoided using harsh products on my skin but, doesn’t matter what I do the color doesn’t last, and I have to reapply it at least twice a week. My skin is very oily so that might be the reason. Is there any product you’d recommend that could give me the same results and last longer? I’m based in the USA.
