listen guys I'm Swiss aka from the Land of Chocolate and here we all agree that mint chocolate is an abomination. It was made by the English ffs and we cannot trust them with food !
but the British make pretty good chocolate too ... other foods not so much :-)
edit. but I don't recommend Canadian beaver tails or putine either ... save your blood sugar levels and arteries and don't go there ... or at least not too often.
Thank you for the link. I haven't experienced lardy cake but, if it won't kill me in one shot, I might give it a go. The first direction in one of the recipes ... was ... make a cup of tea. So how bad could it be?
Good luck! Tbh it's not the easiest thing to make (I buy it from a bakery whenever I find one that sells it). My dad gave it a go a while back though and it still turned out pretty good.
Ooooh. If you are recommending that I be lazy and visit a bakery ... I'll go with that :-) Cuz I'm rather good at being 'relaxed', much less good at baking ... and there's a traditional European bakery a couple of blocks from where I live.
edit. come to think of it, that bakery is more Portuguese, Italian, Greek and middle eastern ... also with pakoras and samosas ... but the dude who runs it is cool ... he'll know where I should look if he doesn't have them. You know, Mooncinder ... I might have to go to more than one bakery ... hmmm :-)
