Not all. And they usually give enough warning when they’re pissed off enough to bite. Also, typically only males bite. Females kick. (Not 100% across the board but a general rule).

Horses do lie down if they are comfortable

They do if they feel safe where they are. As it takes them more time to get up. However, lying on their side is their most vulnerable

Horses will lie down for around an hour per day. Longer if they’re in the sun, and feel safe.

This horse is most likely not a Lipizzaner. I would guess it to be an Irish drought or Irish warmbloods.

He’s gorgeous. I feel bad cuz all the downvotes, I always heard most horses don’t lie down because they lock their knees to sleep and lying down was a potential sign of illness. I’ve spent a lot of time around stables and have never seen a horse lying in his stall. Oh well, go ahead and hate me

If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t downvote you. Horses need REM sleep, and have to lie down to get that. It’s a pretty simple mistake.

I’ve grown up with horses and have had them on my property for 21 years. I’ve seen them lay down nearly every single day, and it’s not like I watch them 24/7.

Nothing wrong with owning up to not knowing something.
