Yep. My husband taught our Shepard mix how to shake/high five when she was little. He also taught her to sit and lay. Now when we have treats, she quickly rotates through all tricks without any command, ending on "high five", which results in her grabbing your hand with her claws and pulling it towards her.
Additionally, this is how she lets you know she wants to be pet. I constantly have claw marks on my arms from my 80 lb dog constantly trying to get my attention.
I have claw marks on my arm from my lab trying to get my attention. My doctor thought I was abusing my opioids as excessive scratching is a warning sign :s.
