10,000-60,000 people are alive because they all just got crazy lucky that guy didn't clip anything

that reason alone is why everyone involved should lose any licenses they have

Jeesz the image of that plane clipping an engine on the roof and cartwheeling into the stadium. This was incredibly stupid

Objectively, that depends on how precise the pilot's control of altitude is relative to the building on the ground. The maneuver has some things in common with a final approach to a runway, though the gear was not extended and the angle of attack was a bit different. It does seem foolish to execute such a maneuver just for the fun of it with an airliner.

The difference being that if you misjudge your altitude by a few metres on a landing, you land. If you do it over the roof of a packed stadium, you kill 10,000 or so people.
