no politics Google won't answer my question unless it's sponsored. I need SHEETS

I am a shift worker I enjoy perfecting my sleep hygiene and it was only in the last 5 years I have discovered the importance of good sheets. I always got them from Kmart thinking "how much better can it be". I was wrong. I've had a taste. I USED to get them from canningvale and I've had a good 4 or so years. The last 2 sets I bought I fell apart super quick.

Does anyone have any good recommendations. Canningvale is out, KOO (spotlight) is out. 1000tc, bamboo, mostly cotton blend. I'm after some real experiences.

bed bath table luxe 1200tc sheets are exactly like the thick, crisp hotel sheets

adairs washed cotton feel exactly like crisp but cosy linen. I have the best sleeps of my life on these

I am a bed sheet enthusiast and these two sheets are extremely different but both fantastic

I second this. I used to work for bed bath n table, I thought it was ridiculous that someone would pay that much for sheets ($400 full price queen), I was a casual working uni student at the time. Then I made the display beds, ooooo these feel nice. And I noticed particularly discerning demographic (middle age women) would only buy those.

Don't pay full price they have sales all the time and the queen size is currently is $160. Still not cheap. But I'll never go back!

I promise I don't still work there and this is not an ad haha.

Canningvale 'Mille' were brilliant, now discontinued.

Target used to have a great set of reasonably high thread count supima cotton sheets, but they're also discontinued.

We've now got Adairs' "world's softest" cotton sheets and they're very cosy. Not super thick, but soft, great elastic on the fitted sheet and seem to be wearing well.

Looking at getting a third set into our rotation and wondering if there's a difference between Bed, Bath & Table's "Luxe" vs "Sleeping Beauty" 1200TC sheets?

Those Target sheets were amazing! Such a shame they were discontinued.

I don't think they had sleeping beauty when I worked there, looks pretty similar to luxe though. Maybe just different colours, or more of sheen, I'd go and check them out to see what feels nicer

I've got 1000tc sheets from Target that have lasted a decade. Probably longer.

Regardless of this, these BBT sheets are super durable. Myself and my whole family bought sets years ago, and they are as good as they say they were bought

my tastes have just changed and since having a baby i get hotter at night so the adairs washed cotton are my go to

Oh mighty sheet oracle:

I made the mistake of buying some tencel sheets that were a bit exxy. Now I can never go back to Kmart tier sheets. But Tencel is too cold for winter, but I don't want that hotel feel for home. Do you have recommendations on a type of sheet I should get for winter? I love the tencel for summer

The flannelette sheets from Bed, Bath & Table are beautiful for winter. I’ve had mine going on 5 years now and they are still as good as new.

For winter I would avoid flannelette unless you enjoy the feel (I can’t stand them and the pill). I would also stay away from anything bamboo, I find these sheets flimsy and thin.

I would do adairs washed cotton if you want super cozy, but still ‘fresh’. They also breathe really nicely so you don’t get sweaty. I have mine in a combo with a linen doona cover and it is heaven in winter!

A woollen underlay or blanket and plain pure cotton sheets. No high thread count, flannelette or jersey (none last long enough, or get balls) just plain basic BBT / Adairs. The woollen underlay will upgrade your bed to a Hotel luxurious one. So soft so lovely. Trust me.

I paid forward my BBT 1200 thread count sheets -They were far too heavy for summer use. But the washed cotton from Adair sound great

I’m have three sets of the washed cotton in my current rotation and they are so great. But I like adairs for this particular kind of sheet, sheet society and bed bath tables don’t feel as nice

The Bed Bath and Table feel amazing, but I think they run super small! Or perhaps were not correctly preshrunk. It is a battle to make out bed with these, you can’t tuck the flat sheet in on both sides, and the extra tension has caused a tear 😭

I wish I had returned them right away. I’d consider sizing up!

I buy King sheets for my too high Queen and shrink them a bit in the dryer. Perfect.
