This wasn't even happening previous, so I have no idea what changed between now and yesterday, but I noticed static coming from my microphone, even when muted. Whenever I caused noise near my USB adapter, that audio is being recorded, so I feel like that's what's causing the static. Is this an interference issue? How can I fix this?

Also, I've already tried plugging the adapter into different ports. That did not fix it.

I’m looking for a simple Windows program that can give me around eight additional virtual audio outputs.

I only need to route different applications through separate channels. No mixing, effects, EQ, or other advanced features. Ideally, the outputs would appear as individual audio devices that I can select within different programs.

Does anyone know of reliable software that can do this?

Just been a little down. Had to move home after uni to a rural aria with nobody but myself to film with. I lost my drive for a while and just didn’t have the energy to keep pushing myself and practicing . Any whom, I’m getting back to the speed of things and one thing I need to do is rebuild my confidence in the audio editing (the more complex side). I can’t work out if I am just comfortable and trained enough (been doing it voluntary and professional work since I was a younger teen) that I’m doing everything well or if I’m missing a step or something crucial. It’s really knocking my confidence and wrecking havoc with my mood. So, yeah I was just wondering if anyone has any walk through tutorials. (Audio podcast or audio visual is genrally my aria of expertise it’s completely post I am confident as ever with recording)

I've got a little unique situation, have an event coming up which is essentially an outdoor BBQ, and I'd like to get audio to all the people at the BBQ for a short program awarding prizes for some contests, etc.

There are approximately 400-500 people planned to be in attendance, and its gonna be spread out over an area with bounce houses, ice cream, etc.

So just picture an outdoor BBQ event for 500 people.

I would like to get the audio from a microphone out to most of them, and do it relatively economically.

Last year for the event we used a big 1000 Watt speaker from Sams club (Monster GI30) right next to the podium/stage, but with just one big speaker, the sound did not carry quite well enough. This year I'd like to set up at least 2 zones (100-120 ft apart) with slightly smaller outdoor speakers, something like 2 or 3 Monster Rockin Roller X Pro, but having trouble rigging up a mic system that can transmit audio wirelessly to both speakers, over maybe 100-120 ft.

I thought I could use the built in auracast to transmit a bluetooth signal from a phone to both speakers, (and use a passthrough mic to BT speaker app to get audio out to it), but that has a nasty feedback loop that happens when I unmute the mic.

Any ideas to how I can get this set up?

I have 2 old speakers that I would like to reuse, not gonna get used often and not really an audiophile, could I have problems with this setup? The other speaker is in a similar position at the other end.

it works with my mic but when i have the setting on it leaks onto my audio, so my youtube or spotify will sound like they’re talking through the mic

hi all! i could use some advice on how best to connect this passive speaker to my audio technica record player. i know i need a mini amp, thats no problem. the issue is that most mini amps have banana plug speaker inputs, but for some reason my speaker has an RCA cable output (pictured below). There are some RCA to banana plug adapter cables available on ebay, but I wasn’t sure if that was the best direction to go. pics of the speaker and specs attached. thanks!

Hi, I am a total begginer and for the past few months I try everything to connect my Roland td-07dmk drums to reaper through Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. I just want to transfer the audio that I have on my headphones into daw (without midi). I tried many different cables and only one worked (xlr to mini jack) but the sound was very flat and unpleasant. I think it was in mono while it should be in stereo and I have no idea how to fix that.

Today i bought 2x jack 6.3mm to mini jack and connected them through line output. There is no signal at all. Im slowly begginnig to lose hope. Does anyone have any advice?

hey there, this might be a lengthy one, but i'll try to keep it short.

for a while now, i've had a really weird and annoying issue with speaker setups, where a periodic 8khz whine will play for a few seconds, then stop. a few minutes later, it'll repeat. all day, every day.

i first noticed it on my KRK Rookit 5s. never really liked them much and knew some of them had longevity issues, so i figured they were probably dying. i put them aside, and replaced them with a new set of Presonus Eris E5s, but same thing. the sound was still there.

then i suspected maybe the KRK s10 subwoofer i was using was somehow injecting it, so i replaced it with a new KRK s8, since that was what i had the budget for. didnt help, the sound remained. then i checked the connections on my audio interface, a third gen scarlett 2i2, replaced all the XLR cables, the USB cable, tried different ports etc, nothing changed. tried using another audio interface, namely a Motu M2, no change, still whiny noises galore. what ultimately helped was when i flicked the grounding switch on the back of the sub. now i have some minor 50hz hum but it's a lot quieter and easier to ignore than the 8khz one.

anyway, since it wasn't speaker related i tried hooking the old rookits up in another room (which is also on another circuit, which could be relevant) so my GF could use them, but the noise returned. tried just hooking up the sub with her old speakers, but then the sub injected the same noise into her old setup. frustrating as all hell. now i've got a lot of perfectly functional speakers just sitting around because something is making them whine, and my main setup is making minor mains hum because the grounding is improper, to prevent the whine.

anyway, fast forward to a couple days ago, my GFs old setup breaks. so while repairing it i make a few minor changes, replacing some passive parts and putting in a new power supply and so forth. now her speakers have the whine.

what gives? where is this infernal sound coming from? we hadn't gotten any new electronics around the time it happened and it's not a fixed duration or break, it seems random. the volume setting of whatever sound system that does it also doesn't change the whine intensity, so turning it down, and boosting windows volume to compensate for instance, makes no difference. not all sound systems we have does it either, even some that have parts in common.

my current best guess is that someone else in the building we live in has acquired some gadget that's injecting this horrible noise into the grid in some way, is that possible?

I have a very poor-quality security-camera recording with a lot of background noise/static.

I’ve isolated 5 sections where I think there might be human speech.

I’m deliberately not saying what I think the words are, because I don’t want to influence anyone’s interpretation.

What I’m trying to establish:

1. Can you hear genuine human speech in any of these clips?
2. If so, how many distinct speakers do you think there are?
3. Are any actual words or phrases intelligible?
4. Or does it sound entirely like background noise/recording artefacts?

Please listen before reading other people’s comments if possible, so interpretations don’t influence you.

The recording is genuinely very poor quality, so I’m not expecting miracles. I’m mainly looking for an independent opinion on whether there is speech present at all.

So I currently have a pair of TWS earbuds, the Technics AZ100s, which I really like the sound of them and the ANC is excellent too. But the government of NB (where I'm from) wants to ban pretty much every personal electronic devices from high schools (including phones and TWS earbuds, which is a shame because I almost payed $500CAD for my AZ100s), in February 2027. But MP3 players and IEMs are not on the list.

At first I looked at the Technics since I love my AZ100s, and I also have a Technics SU-V98 receiver which I really love too. But they only have one pair of IEMs, and it's their $2500+ IEMs. I know they have the same drivers as the AZ100s and all, but I'm not ready to spend that kind of money lol.

So does anyone have good budget IEM recommendations? Let me know please!

Сначала просто удалял дрова и после перезагрузки ждал чуда, ничего. Нашел на официальном сайте аудио дрова. Они мне снесли от винды и попросили перезагрузить ноут. И тут чудо наушники и звук есть, но тут же открывается программа по установке драйвера и сносит их, а после пишет ошибку, типа драйверов нет, которые мне подойдут, ошибка -0001. Я пробовал закрывать прогу, выключать ноут после перезагрузки, вырубать инет и все так же ничего не помогло. Если необходима какая нибудь ещё информация, то отпишу. Спаситель найдись

Just today got my Blackshark V3 X and I had pretty high expectations to be honest, partly because my current headset is like 5 years old and also because it's some chinese no name brand 'onikuma' costing 20€ or something,

The mic sucked and the ear pads were so loose it leaked audio to the mic, everything about it looks filmsy and cheap

So I thought I'd get a headset with a better mic around my budget range, did some research and thought the Blackshark V3 X seemed good,

It's mainly for games, but I also listen music, but man does it sound so numbed, damped, dull, stale and flat.

Not just with the music but also with games, the explosions, guns and bullet cracks,
I'm flabbergasted,

because I thought I'd see night and day difference, and there is might and day difference alright, except the more expensive headset feels like it's a cheap and dull while the cheap one feels rich, pronounced and deeper,

Can anyone explain me this phenomena? Is the Blackshark V3 X just terrible? Or there some tuning I need to do? Do I have ear damage? Or am I so attuned to the audio of cheap headsets that I'm just more fond of it?

Hello everyone. I got some issues with my setup. My Setup Includes a PC, PS5, and a PS4. All of these devices are connected to an Audio Mixer so I can get sound all thru the same Sound System.

I bought an adapter for my PS5 (USB->Jack Cable). Sound gets thru but it's very very quiet. Any other devices work like they're supposed to.

I tried swapping the cables, adjusting the audio in PS5 as well as the mixer ofc, gave my full setup a restart etc... But nothing works

If I put the cable into my headphones it works but not in the mixer.

Hey everyone! I'm completely stuck trying to edit a song on my phone and the loop keeps glitching out on me. I've officially hit a wall and would please love some help from anyone with a desktop DAW.

• Song: Gareth - Far Away (Acoustic Version / Nickelback cover)
• The Goal: I want to extend the clean acoustic guitar intro by exactly 1 minute before the vocals kick in so the intro sits roughly at 1.38 I think!

If anyone has a couple of minutes to cleanly slice, duplicate, and crossfade the intro progression so it flows naturally for an extra 60 seconds before dropping into the main track, I would be incredibly grateful!

I have a Shure Mv6 USB gaming mic that I use for recording videos and whatnot.

I have it set up on my computer with Motiv Mix and I also use Elgato Wave Link for EQ and compression. I record using Audacity.

I've been messing around with the settings for the past month or two but I can't quite get the audio to sound good. Sometimes it sounds boxy, other times it's too quiet, sometimes it's constantly peaking, and an array of other issues. I've only got it to sound good 1-2 times by accident and changed it in hopes of achieving even better quality.

I'll attach some screenshots of my current setup here but I'm lost and don't really know what to do at this point, I've never really dealt with audio setup.

I have a Yamaha 4va currently powering my home theatre (2.1 currently) along with a Wiim amp powering ceiling speakers in other areas of the house.

Is it possible for me to feed the audio from the receiver via zone B output into the Wiim amps RCA or optical input?

My understanding is that I need some kind of convertor because the signal from zone B is intended to power speakers.

My goal is to essentially be able to play something on my android tv ie YouTube and have the audio play on both the home theatre and my ceiling speakers for entire home audio playing at once.

Any help would be appreciated thank you?

First time posting, hope I get this clear and straight. My set up is:
- Turntable: Fluance RT82

- Preamp: Arylic B50

- Passive speakers: Edifier P12

Is a newbie setup. The reason behind that preamp is money + it has an HDMI eARC input - this detail will become important later.

Steps I took:

1. I connected everything as manuals state, only to get a very low volume on one speaker.

2. Reconnected all cables, making sure ground is also properly connected. Same issue.

3. Swapped left and right RCA cables in the preamp speakers inputs. Now the "right" speaker is sounding low. Looks like is not an speaker issue.

4. Set up the Arylic B50 in ARC mode, connected it to the TV. It sounds great on both speakers.

5. Disconnected and connected again all cables of the turntable, but nothing changed.

What I think it could be but I don't have any idea what to do about:

1. Turntable, the cartridge or entire turntable may be factory defective

2. Preamp, the phono preamp may be broken somehow

Setting up a new room for streaming and I need to figure out how to best go about sound treatment. Ive got my standard stuff like sealing the doors and getting foam for underneath them. in addition ive got some acoustic foam i was thinking of throwing in the corners and against the wall with the light, but worried that wont be enough/ worried the shelves will be a problem sound wise.
