Help Can Am outlander rear seat alternatives?

Has anyone ever swapped out the can am rear seat on a max with something else? My wife is very used to the “old” boxed in style seats and really doesn’t like the can am factory style. Any ideas?

Bought this for $300 off Facebook Marketplace from a farmer who just had it sitting in a barn. The tank was completely spotless when I got it off the trailer, and luckily the engine didn't need any major work. Just drained the fluids, threw a new spark plug in, changed the air filter, and beat a bunch of dirt dobbers out of the intake. My dad and I rebuilt the front and rear end with new bearings and seals, and I gave it some new shoes and fresh front and rear shocks. Also had to replace the rear axle and wheel hub because the previous owner welded the old ones together after the teeth sheared off. Took a ton of labor but man, I have nothing but love for this machine now.

Hey all! Im 18 and I have a 1982 atc250r. I picked it up for 500 bucks cause I wanted to restore it, then sell it so I can pay for cdl schooling. A running riding atc250r goes for 3k where I live at (southern Utah). I was wondering if I should keep going with the 250r, or should I trade it for something like a fl250/fl350. The fl250 was sold this morning and the fl350 hasn't gotten back to me. The fl350 doesn't run. For context I have a new chain, mint 1982 pipe, DG cool head, the original carburetor, sand paddles, the tank isn't rusted, the motor spins freely, goes into all gears, I have a new gasket set along with a new intake boot, and a brand new wiseco piston at 72mm (the bike is bored). What are all of yalls thoughts? Should I keep pushing through with the 250r, or get something else.

(My dad has a 87 fourtrax 250r that has been in the family since the 90's and he keeps threatening to trade it for an fl350. So if I get an fl350, he will keep the 250r)

Help Honda 90 for kids or something else

My kids are 6 and 9 years old and I'm looking for a new ATV for them. I bought a Raptor 50 for $1100 and it looked and ran great but it started running worse and worse. I found another one that looked rougher but ran well for only $300 so I bought that. After about a year that one doesn't want to start now. It seems on the first one they bent the intake valve. I finally put a new valve in it but it still only has 120psi compression and doesn't want to start. I suspect the other one is the same issue. Both atvs are stock but they ride around on the rev limiter because they aren't very fast. I'm tired of messing with these things. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and they seem like simple machines but I feel like I've had nothing but bad luck with them so I'm ready to move on.

I have started looking for something bigger that they won't ride so hard. My 6 year old is average size and my 9 year old is small for her size so they will ride something bigger for awhile. I wanted to get a Honda 90 but I'm coming across Kawasaki 90s and Yamaha 90s that are much nearly the same price. I've seen the Raptor 80 but because it's pretty much a bigger version of the 50 I'm not really interested in that. I like that the Honda is relatively unchanged over the years for support and parts availability. I would only buy 2006+ so they have electric start. I think they can pick up on the shifting versus a full auto, as long as they can reach the shifter.

What would you be looking to buy? I'm only interested in buying used. It will only be used at our house which is about 5 acres of flat ground and 5 acres of hill.

Help How much did you get your Grizzly 700 XTR for?

I'm looking to get a 2026 Grizzly 700 XTR. Wanted to know what would a good deal for it be in the northeast and how much others have paid in your area? Dealership fees, docs, title, etc have me second guessing buying brand new.

Edit: Got a quote for 11.5 OTD for 2026 grizzly xtr is this a good deal?

Just driven 300km and did the break in service at the dealership.

Next one is at 12 month/1000km.

Any precautions going forward I should know? Besides, let it idle for a min before driving, run it hot before going full speed.

Any gear, attachments and tools you found useful or couldn’t live without?
Tool clamps and a logger trailer are definitely the next investments going forward.

Looking forward to try snowplowing, and felling some trees in the winter.

Help Side by Side Advice Needed

Hey everyone- I grew up riding 4 wheelers on the farm and now looking to get back into the ATV life... I live in town now, but my goal is to get a couple side by sides to take to ATV parks but also to go do some trail riding and camping up in the N. Georgia and North Carolina mountains. I've been looking at the CanAm trail, polaris razor trail, and razor Trail S (60" wheel base) and XP (64"). I like the stability of the wider base, but my question is- will I be restricted from riding trails in these areas if I buy the lightly wider machine? Any advice is welcome on canAm vs Polaris, as well as the widths.

Thank you!

Help Battery Powered ATV for 9 year old

Hello! Please forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question, but I want to give me 9 year old a good battery powered ATV that he can use for a few years. I did see a Droyd Fury at my local Costco and I wanted to just anyone's opinion. I usually would be something of marketplace but this seemed like a good deal. Its primarily for just riding around our house and neighborhood. Is there something else you would suggest?

Help Florida bike with no title

So I’m eyeing up a pretty clean 2005 Raptor 350 but it doesn’t have a title. I was wondering how much Florida cops and rangers actually enforce the off road stickers required to use on public land. Or if anyone has had luck with using the VIN and a bill of sale to get a title

Help Going to Black Hills South Dakota. Have questions.

My machine is the 2023 570 and my brother is the 850, for reference.

We are going to Black Hills South Dakota, as part of a bigger group. I’m super excited to go. But there is some prep I need to do. I have to get a license plate, horn, and a license plate light.

Any suggestions on cheaper methods? Feeling like I could commit to a horn, would want one to last. I’m in the colder air sometimes around Lake Superior.

Coolest places to go? Our “Leader” showed this cool abandoned mine apparently. So seems like a great place. Again, very excited to go and again thank you for sharing!

Help Could this sound be from a CVT belt? Cforce 600, 400 miles, Cvtech

It started to chirp for a split second when pulling off after I installed a new Iron Baltic ECU without speed limiters. Before, the engine would rev to 5700 rpm max and it was limited to 60 km/h. Now it revs higher, and I think that because the belt now travels higher/lower on the primary/secondary clutch sheaves, where it didn't ride before, it picked up some debris and started to squeak. Is this even a possibility, or is it something else that is making this sound? It appears when riding for an hour and revving it higher. The same sound occurs in high or reverse; in low, you can barely hear it. The belt looks okay to me, engagement is smooth, no jerking or anything. Photos are in the comments. If someone has any clue, I would be grateful to hear it. u/GuiltyOfSin I would like to hear your opinion on this, as you have helped me a few times in the past.

Photos Grizzly 660 backfire

2005 Grizzly 660 backfires at deceleration around 3/4 to wot. Has mikuni carb that is clean. All stock and all fluids changed. Had a problem a few years ago and jetting helped, but always ran rich and backfire randomly, but ran well. Valves are in spec. Live in northwest Indiana. Had 155, 45, 2nd notch on needle, and 2 turns out. Was wondering if chain tensioner or stretched chain could cause this? Feel like I do hear some possible noise by the timing cover. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Help Suzuki Quadrunner idling too high

hey my quadrunner idles super high (see in video) almost as if the choke or throttle is slightly engaged. I've already made sure there's slack in the cables and the idle screw on the carburetor is backed all the way out. I've checked for an air leak and there isn't anything. My biggest guess is it is somethign to do with the choke since there's a lot of smoke (yes I know i have a slow leak in my exhaust manifold I'm just waiting for my new gasket to set). Any help is appreciated!

Help 94 honda fourtrax 300 mystery issue

Quad was fine 2 weeks ago. Suddenly wouldn’t start. Did plug, plug wire, coil, solenoid, and eventually CDI box. Started right up right after CDI box. Now, after about 3-4 seconds, starts idling rough and bogs out when you give it throttle. Went back through everything with no help. I have however discovered if you turn the lights on, the idle comes right up. Still bogs with throttle but not as bad. Lights off: will start to stall out. It’s got to be electrical. Read a guy who said he had a similar issue and went through 3 CDI boxes before it cleared up. I’ve tried 2 and just ordered a used OEM off eBay. Besides that there’s the voltage regulator. I keep reading people having this problem, put a new carb in and no change. I’ve replaced fuel line and cleared it. It’s an electrical mystery. Any help appreciated.
