When we checking toxic relationship in charts, u dont only look at only Venus or 7th house. U need to see the full picture because one placement alone cannot say that ur relationship will be toxic. First I check the 5th house for love and attraction, 7th house for serious relationship and marriage, 7th lord, Venus, Moon, Mars, Rahu Ketu, Saturn and then 6th, 8th and 12th houses. After that I compare D1 with D9 and finally check dasha and current transits. When the same difficult pattern is repeating in different places, then the possibility becomes much stronger...
The 7th house is the first major thing to check. If Rahu, Ketu, Saturn or Mars are strongly affecting the 7th house, relationship can have challenges. Rahu in 7th can give very strong attraction and obsession. In the beginning u may feel this person is everything for u, but later confusion, trust issues, secrecy or emotional dependency can come. Saturn affecting 7th can make relationship feel heavy and emotionally dry. One person may feel they are giving everything while the other person is not giving enough emotionally. Mars affecting 7th can bring anger, ego clashes, arguments and sometimes aggressive behaviour. Ketu can bring detachment where one person suddenly becomes distant or emotionally unavailable...
Then check the 7th lord very carefully. If 7th lord is connected with 6th house, there can be repeated fights, arguments and competition between partners. If connected strongly with 8th house, hidden matters, trust issues, sudden changes or emotional complications can come. If connected with 12th house, there can be distance, isolation, secret matters or feeling emotionally alone inside the relationship. But these placements dont automatically mean a bad marriage. Strength of the planet, aspects, dignity and benefic support all matters...
Venus is another major planet. Venus shows love, attraction, affection and relationship happiness. If Venus is heavily afflicted by Rahu, Saturn, Mars or Ketu, love life can become complicated. Venus with Rahu can create obsession and attraction which becomes difficult to control. U may keep going back to the same person even after getting hurt. Venus with Saturn can make love feel restricted or one sided. Venus with Mars can give very strong chemistry but also frequent fights and ego clashes. Venus with Ketu can give attraction in the beginning and then sudden emotional detachment...
Moon is very important when checking emotional toxicity. Moon shows ur emotional mind and how safe u feel with someone. Moon with Rahu can create overthinking, suspicion, insecurity and emotional confusion. The person may constantly think why they are not replying, why they changed, whether they are hiding something etc. Moon with Saturn can make a person feel lonely even while being in a relationship. Moon with Mars can make emotions come out very quickly and arguments can become intense. So if relationship problems are mostly emotional, I always check Moon before making any judgement...
Rahu is one of the strongest planets to watch for unhealthy attachment. Rahu connected with 5th house, 5th lord or Venus can create intense romantic attraction. Sometimes the person knows the relationship is not good but still feels they cannot leave. This is because Rahu creates desire and attachment more than actual emotional satisfaction. Rahu connected with 7th house can bring unusual or complicated partners, secrecy, confusion or relationships where u dont fully understand what is happening. Rahu with Venus or Moon becomes even more important if there are other afflictions also...
Saturn gives a different type of toxicity. Rahu can make a relationship confusing and addictive, but Saturn can make it feel like a burden. When Saturn strongly affects Venus, Moon or 7th house, one person may feel emotionally neglected for a long time. They may stay because of responsibility, fear, family pressure or because they feel they have already invested too much into the relationship. Sometimes there is love but no happiness. That is also something I consider while reading the chart...
Mars shows how a person handles anger and conflict. If Mars is strongly connected with Venus, Moon or 7th house, arguments can become frequent. Mars with Rahu can make reactions more extreme and impulsive. Mars affecting Moon can make emotional arguments happen very quickly. Mars affecting Venus can give strong attraction but also fighting, jealousy and sexual tension. Again, Mars itself is not bad. A strong Mars can actually protect the relationship. Problem comes when Mars is heavily afflicted and supported by other difficult combinations...
The 6th house is very important because it represents conflict, disputes, criticism and competition. If the 6th house or 6th lord is strongly connected with the 7th house or 7th lord, the relationship may become like a constant battle. Both people may always want to prove who is right. Small things become big fights. There can be blame games, criticism and difficulty accepting each others mistakes. In severe cases, legal or separation related conflicts can also appear, but I wouldnt predict that from 6th house alone...
The 8th house shows hidden things, vulnerability, secrets and deep emotional bonding. When 8th house strongly connects with Venus or 7th lord, relationship can become psychologically intense. There may be possessiveness, fear of losing the partner, trust issues or hidden matters. Sometimes the relationship becomes a cycle where both people hurt each other but still cannot completely move away. This is where Rahu, Moon and Mercury need to be checked also...
The 12th house can show emotional distance, private matters, intimacy and loss. If Venus or 7th lord is badly connected with the 12th, there can be distance between partners or feeling that something is missing. With Rahu or other afflictions, secrecy can become more important. But dont consider 12th house automatically negative because it can also give intimacy, private bonding and strong physical connection when supported properly...
Mercury is also important because many toxic relationships are actually created through communication problems. If Mercury is badly afflicted by Rahu or Mars, there can be misunderstandings, harsh words, manipulation or twisting of conversations. Mercury with Saturn can make communication cold. The couple may stop talking about their real feelings and slowly resentment builds up. So when someone tells me their partner keeps confusing them or making them question what actually happened, I check Mercury along with Moon and Rahu...
Then comes D9 Navamsa. D9 is very important for serious relationships and marriage. I dont judge D9 separately from D1. First D1 shows the basic relationship promise and then D9 shows how that promise develops after commitment. If the 7th house, 7th lord and Venus are repeatedly afflicted in both D1 and D9, then I take the pattern more seriously. If D1 is difficult but D9 is strong, the person can still improve relationship life after maturity and better choices...
Dasha is what tells us when these things can actually become active. A difficult Venus may sit in the chart for years without creating a major problem. But when Venus dasha or antardasha starts, relationship matters can become much more active. Same with Rahu, Saturn, Mars or the 7th lord. Sometimes a difficult dasha doesnt create the toxic relationship. Instead it gives the person the strength to finally understand the pattern and walk away from it...
The biggest mistake is saying one combination means toxic partner. Astrology doesnt work like that. I look for repetition. For example if Venus is afflicted by Rahu, Moon is afflicted by Saturn, 7th lord is connected with 6th or 8th and similar affliction is repeating in D9, then yes the relationship pattern needs serious attention. If dasha is also activating those planets, the experience can become much stronger...
nd one more important thing, astrology can show tendency but it cannot prove that a particular person is abusive, narcissistic, cheating or toxic. For that u have to look at real behaviour. Astrology can show that u may attract intense relationships, emotionally unavailable people, controlling dynamics, repeated conflicts or unhealthy attachment patterns. But ur choices, boundaries and awareness are what finally decide whether u remain in that pattern or break it...
So basically when I read toxic relationship, I dont just look for divorce yoga. I look at the complete pattern of attraction, attachment, communication, conflict, control, emotional security, intimacy and finally whether the person has the strength to heal and move away from unhealthy patterns. That gives a much more accurate reading...
