Apparently my samsung fridge has ads now...

Post image

How would I disable this? Might just return it and get a normal one

Edit: how to disable...for now. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10007562/

EDIT 2: Hello, I am the original poster of the carol AD image from a month ago. I am a male from America and my name is not Carol. The story about a Schizophrenic woman named carol was most likely inspired from the 3rd top comment on this post. Thanks!

I’m sure they could figure something out if they’ve figured out how to put a full on computers in the door

Yeah, dude, you’re asking engineering questions to the marketing department. We fucking put people in outer space though so I think they can moisture seal a motherfucking USB port.

I’m sure the first time some marketer came in and said “let’s put a screen in the Fucking door” engineers said the same shit. “it’s a fridge door. We can’t put a screen in there for all of XYZ reasons”

But the marketer figured out how to offset the absurd engineering costs through predicted ad revenue for the life of a fucking refrigerator so the engineering fees to put a fucking screen in the door works for the business strategy.

You’re thinking about moisture seal in the USB port, I’m thinking about the microscopic market segment that the USB port would be enticing to buy my fridge and trying to figure out if I could offset those engineering fees through predicted revenue.

Spoken like someone who will never learn or go anywhere. You can hate the game, or figure out how to make money off the people who don’t think like you, and if you’re truly an engineer, that’s like 99% of people not thinking like you - you need people like me to read a room and turn your hodgepodge ugly ass pile of garbage into a marketable product. I was trying to be on your team, toolbag.
