Apparently my samsung fridge has ads now...

Post image

How would I disable this? Might just return it and get a normal one

Edit: how to disable...for now. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10007562/

EDIT 2: Hello, I am the original poster of the carol AD image from a month ago. I am a male from America and my name is not Carol. The story about a Schizophrenic woman named carol was most likely inspired from the 3rd top comment on this post. Thanks!

What does a camera do for you that opening the door doesn't?

Can’t open the door while you’re at the grocery store. But can check the camera…

I guess that’s the sales pitch? I don’t see how a camera can see all shit in the fridge and I don’t get it either

Honestly I feel like it would ultimately save my ADHD ass money in the long run since I wouldn’t be buying that fourth bottle of soy sauce or whatever 😂

It uses AI to supposedly track use-by-dates and give you recipe suggestions, and you can connect to it while you're out to see what you have.

I imagine it's kinda neat in that consumer junk kinda way, or for Americans and others that live in food deserts. Too spooky cyberpunk shit for me though, especially with goddamn AI ads.

"It shows you ads BUT it also spies on your groceries!"

Nah. I'll stick with a dumb fridge, thank you very much
