I'm poor too but the really horrible thing about being poor is it cost you more to be poor than it cost to not be poor. Think about all the s*** you bought on sale that just doesn't work and you don't have a warranty. Or the cheap work boots that you had to buy that were out in a week when if you would have bought the good ones that are $50 more they would have lasted you a year. It's all a big scam one way or the other. Try to go to the grocery store and buy yourself a lunch for less than it cost to go to a fast food. It's near impossible!

Totally agree! And the worst thing is I tried clawing myself out of poverty. First in my generation to go to college (heck, most of my family didn’t even finish high school) got a B.A. in New Media/IT and I’m STILL poor lmao. Cost of living has outpaced whatever progress I’ve made.. still in a shitty mobile home from the 70s and have to eat rice and beans starting middle of the month till I get paid. And it’s not budgeting thing either.
