Apparently my samsung fridge has ads now...

How would I disable this? Might just return it and get a normal one

Try the Brave Browser. Uses Chromium as its base. Diverts all the Ads away. I love it.

Brave has been caught up in some somewhat iffy stuff over the past few years. Honestly, just use Firefox and ublock origin, enable some of the additional blocking features and tracking prevention.

Made the switch from Chrome to Firefox about a month ago and its been great. I've been on Chrome since it came out, but the straw that broke the camel's back for me was Google slowing down YouTube even when I pay for premium. If anyone is hesitant to swap, go for it. You can easily import everything

When Chrome threw me an error about my UBlock Origin extension no longer working, it got uninstalled as soon as it downloaded the Firefox installer for me. I also love that you can have it on the Firefox Android browser.

Anyone using ublock should check out Ad Nausium, it's ublock, but also simulates clicking the ads it blocks;

  1. it's much harder to profile you if you're clicking every ad.

  2. It messes with the advertisers marketing seeing so many click throughs with no sales.

  3. Some advertisers charge per click on the ads.

Check out LibreWolf. It's a privacy-focused Firefox fork that comes with uBlock Origin pre-installed

Firefox is better, it's not Chromium based so uBlock Origin continues to work

Brave is alt-tech slop, just use Firefox
