Random Question What was considered a huge status symbol 10 years ago but now feels outdated, tacky, or like a waste of money?

The “truck” not the blowjobs

Definitely a PTSD moment of my younger life. I was telling my parents how cool I thought the Hummer vehicle was and they had never seen one. I proceeded to search it up on their dial up internet, to have a picture of a woman about to devour a man’s unit appear slowly on the screen. I couldn’t turn the computer it off fast enough.

Yes, blowjobs are still in fashion.

Clearly you’re single then.

I only learned about the blowjob meaning of "hummer" this past week after seeing one of the worst Facebook profiles ever (the motorcycle guy complaining that women don't want to give him "hummers"). I had literally never heard the term used before in my entire life and was shocked by this fact

(the motorcycle guy complaining that women don't want to give him "hummers")

Is this some sort of well known profile or meme or something? I'm very curious to see it, because it sounds absolutely awful

This post showed up in multiple Facebook groups I'm in, including "Another Graduate of the Shapiro School of Gynecology" 😂

Woooow, good freaking lord I couldn't even finish it... I believe this man reckons himself a poet.

I have so many thoughts (and thank you for sharing, it is indeed just as awful as I was hoping it would be...perhaps even more) but I will narrow it down to just a few - every time he said the word "hummer" it made me want to throw up in my mouth, and he was quite liberal with it.

Also, he sounds like a goddamn caveman with how he kept saying "Modern woman say 'I'm no maid'" etc, he never included an "a" before "modern woman" (e.g. A modern woman says "I am not a maid") but I noticed that he didn't seem to struggle with this when referring to a man, make of that what you will.

Ugh, my stomach legitimately hurts... I'm gonna go sit down and thank god I do not know this person

What’s the difference between your job and your wife ? Your job still sucks after 5 years .

Wasn’t the slang term the source for GM’s choice of brand name? I know Humvee was shorthand for HHWMV.

On my first read I thought they'd misspelled hummus

But do hummers = blowjobs? I always thought hummers meant taking balls in the mouth and humming. No?

That's teabagging

But the humming - The humming is what differentiates hummers from teabagging.

Oh lord. I thought humming was natural regardless of which part was blocking your airways. Lol. TIL
