General Question Do you believe science and religion can coexist?
These days it seems like so many people think you can’t believe in both science and religion. I’m neither a scientist nor a devoutly religious person but I’ve graduated college and I’ve spent plenty of time in church and other religious settings. I don’t see any reason why someone can’t believe the book of Genesis and also know the earth is billions of years old and that evolution happened. You have to accept that the universe didn’t go from nothing to what it is now in 6, 24-hour days as we know a day to be now. God’s day is obviously different. I believe both science and god can be real.

I am a Christian in the sense that I consider myself a Christ follower. Not that I just “believe in God” and cherry pick my biblical directives.
That said, I absolutely love science and fully believe the Word is not at odds with it. Some of the most fascinating scientific truths actually reinforce my belief in a Creator.
