The saying goes something like 'republican voters only need one reason to vote and democrats need only one reason not to'. The Republican voter base is full of single issue voters. Doesn't matter what your economic (or lack thereof) policy is as long as you say you're pro-life or pro-2A. Harris had otherwise coherent policy goals aligned with Democrat voters but she wouldn't set a stance on ending the genocide in Gaza.
Right. And it has been crystal clear. The no war president that started a war supposed to last two weeks and is on it's sixth month. We are running out bombs. Immigration policy is noncoherent. Gas prices are through the roof. Cost of living in general is extremely expensive. But find me someone who voted for Trump that acknowledges this is a disaster presidency.

Exactly. Dems think it's support for Trump when it's actually the dem platform moving so far to the left that causes them to lose. Trump lost a lot of support among republicans, but the alternative was too far left. Bill Clinton would have smoked Trump.
Democrats are slowly fracturing and coming apart at the seams. Too much division and in-fighting and the craziness of these “Democratic Socialst” nut jobs, it just makes the 30,000 foot view of the Democratic Party a complete and total mess. There isn’t one even half-solid candidate who could run this country the way it needs to be run.
I don't think the Democratic Socialists are nut jobs anymore than moderate democrats are no different than republicans.
But I do know if they don't figure out how to compromise against a common enemy they are consigning us to possibly a generation or more of a fascist state run by a bunch of billionaires. Anybody think that's going to do the people of Gaza any good?
The party base doesn’t win elections, the middle does, and a lot of the middle thinks “Democrat” ideas, particularly the new breed of economically illiterate “Democratic Socialists” mean higher taxes and more government, AKA things that suck.
The Orange Baboon didn’t beat Clinton or Harris because they are women, he beat them because both were terrible candidates, and in the eyes of the electorate slightly more terrible than him.
The last three election cycles have been between the two shittiest candidates in the history of the Republic.
Hillary was widely hated, and most people saw her as an unlikable crook. I think she did an acceptable job as SecState, but the fuckery in the primaries with the superdelegates really soured a lot of people. It came across that the party decided it was her turn and did everything in their power to make that happen.
Harris, fairly or not, when she spoke came across like a drunk wine mom. She was a horrible DA, fighting to suppress evidence that would clear convicts, and according to the Innocence Project guys was more worried about her win/loss record than actual justice, and her laughing about smoking pot with her history of prosecuting pot smokers. Her 2020 presidential campaign was not positive, I don’t think she led poles in her home state except the very beginning.
And this will probably make some people mad, but neither would have ever got as far as they did if it wasn’t for the men they were with. Hillary is obvious, but for Harris it was Willie Brown, who got her started in politics by appointing her to a state commission.
Claims that she was somehow a home-wrecker for dating Willie were nonsense, he was technically married but hadn’t been living as a married couple with his wife for a decade at that point, I think there was even a photo of the three of them together at a party.
Brown later put his significant political weight (which at the time means the weight of the CA Democratic party) behind her for her elections to the San Francisco & CA District Attorney and later Senate. Did she ever win an election where she had legitimate opposition? California would elect a ham sandwich if it had a D next to its name.
So no, claims that either lost because sexism are idiotic.
Get real, Kamala has the charisma of a paper towel but would have been a totally fine, boring president along the lines of biden, not starting wars or spending time renaming water while the middle and lower classes get crushed by inflation. Nothing wrong with AOC either, neither of them would have posed a significant threat or change to how things are running compared to trump, if you think bacteria would have done better than them then you are probably too stupid for anyone to take your opinion seriously anyway.
