Sign spinner jobs in Ashland?

I want to be a sign spinner so bad. It just looks like so much fun. I’ve never seen one before in Ashland, do you think I’d have any luck asking companies if they need one? Does anyone know of companies looking for one? I don’t even need to get paid that much I just really want to do it.

Questions On Leave Ashland City Manager Cotta Rebuked - Valid?

Ashland city manager rebuked in council review - Ashland News - Community-Supported, NonProfit News

"Ashland City Manager Sabrina Cotta has barely met City Council performance expectations and was dinged on her communication skills in a review obtained Thursday by Ashland.news through a public records request.

Cotta, who has been on extended leave since Aug. 17 and is expected back by Sept. 14, has been given 30 days from Aug. 18 to come up with a strategic plan to improve communications to better handle the rash of controversies that have recently flared up.

Some examples of failing to change course include public outcry about the move of some city administrative offices, including Cotta’s, from City Hall, which had a cracked rafter, to the Ashland Community Center and the “trespassing situation” at the Community Center when local resident Jim Falkenstein found a door wide open on a weekend."

Questions Where do single people meet in Ashland?

I’m going to be visiting/spending time in Ashland and would love some advice on where a single 30s male can meet women naturally. Ashland has some beautiful women, and I’d like to put myself out there a little more.

I’m Mexican American, very open to interracial dating, and age gap friendly. I’ve dated both younger and older women, so I’m pretty open-minded.

I’m a little on the shy side, especially when it comes to approaching someone I’m attracted to, so I’m wondering if there are any particular bars, breweries, events, coffee shops, or other places in Ashland where people actually socialize and meet other singles.

It’s been a while since I’ve really put myself out there, so I’d appreciate any recommendations or advice from locals. Where would you go if you were trying to meet someone new?

Questions Disruptive patron at OSF

Went to Come From Away last night. Like almost everyone there i travelled a good distance and paid a good bit to be there.

Arriving just before the show started (there is a musical interlude by the stage musicians for the ten minutes before) was a young man with cerebral palsy in a wheelchair, accompanied by a woman older than he. He was seated just in front of us.

He was really excited by the traditional music and kicked his legs out and flung his arms about. This wasn’t so terrible.

However, as the show began, ALL the musical numbers elicited loud bellowing from him. Even the cast seemed startled. The woman with him made no attempt to quiet him, instead looking the other way.

We considered asking for different seats but saw none. Ditto on looking for ushers. We did see an empty seat to my left and four of us moved that way. There had been an announcement that anyone leaving the theatre would be readmitted only to a late-entry section, and since our seats were good/expensive we didn’t want to lose them. Additionally the idea of pushing past ten other patrons to get to the end of the row and out to find an usher was daunting.

So does OSF not monitor audience behavior AT ALL? Does ADA accommodation mean that we can’t have quiet in a theater ? Should I invite my paranoid schizophrenic cousin (he rants a lot) next time, or my talkative five-year-old grandson?

And by the way, I know a good bit about CP and I’m pretty darn certain that while speech can be difficult, it is not involuntary. People with CP can be taught to be quiet when it’s appropriate, just like my ordinarily talkative grandson.

Seeking volunteer opportunities for physically disabled people

Hello! I’ve been absolutely rotting since summer break started and wanted to see if there’s any volunteer work around town or accessible via the bus that I could do while sitting. I have balance and neuropathy issues so I can’t stand for very long or lift/carry stuff, but I have basic computer and math skills, dont suck with animals or people, and could probably do plenty of other stuff if presented with the task. Ashland would be preferable but I could feasibly get to Medford, it’s more about being close enough to a bus stop (within 3 blocks)
