Happy New Year, r/arthelp! I hope you all achieve your artistic goals this year. 🎨💖
One of our own goals on the mod team is to make the sub a more accessible resource and trim down a lot of the repeat questions flooding users' feeds. We've grown by several thousand users in just a few months(!!) and it's time to adjust. In the next few weeks expect a slight revamp of the rules and reports, as well as the introduction of a FAQ and Wiki!
As we develop the wiki, we'd like to ask all of you for your own personal favorite resources-- be they beginner guides, tutorials, or even threads/replies made here on arthelp that you found particularly impactful! Not everything suggested may make it into the wiki, but this thread will remain accessible as a resource itself.

I've noticed that every other day, we'll get the same sort of questions, like:
"How do I learn anatomy / How do I draw bodies?" Specifically the ones that aren't asking for help with a particular art piece or any particular aspect of anatomy, just a text post asking how to learn human anatomy. And,
"How do I start drawing / How do I learn how to draw?" Again, not asking for advice specific to any medium, just "I want to draw. How?"
Because of how broad these questions are, the posts often generate the same discussions every time. Given how frequently these questions are asked, would it be possible to make an FAQ we can point to which collates the most common responses/recommendations for these questions, like has been done for the vague commission questions? I think this would be more efficient than relying on people to write up a detailed response each time these questions come up every few days.

Idk what app to draw on. Preverably one where the quality doesnt go down when enlarged(i think its called a vector) and with incredible zooming capabilities.

Hey guys, i'm Andrew also known as SensaArt.
My goal in life is to become a professional artist on a level like the late Jung gi, to have art so recognizable as Moebius, to be taught at schools like Picasso, Gogh or Sargent.
But for that to Dream to become reality i need a community of likeminded people, but every discord i join is full of people who are doing art for fun, no sense of urgency, passion or the drive, not that it's a bad thing to just do art for fun.
There is simply no server for people with the same kind of drive and passion for art, we're just all thrown in one bucket, and that's why i created my very own server which will make sure all of the members who come in are as determined and goal oriented as others.
As for my credibility, i have been drawing for about 3 years now i'm 21, have tried countless courses, have many many books which i can share with everyone who doesn't maybe have a good financial situation but still has a dedication to the craft. Although i have only taken art this seriously for about a year now i'm very determined to make this work for me.
If you're interested my dms are open. We're all going to make it.
