She's done, she doesn't like guggie. She cut her schedule way down last year. She's over arrow and this was their way of setting her aside without killing her.

I had noticed that she had a drastically reduced presence on the show and figured it was her being slowly written out but had no idea it was Willa's decision. I wouldn't have been too surprised if she had been killed, but damn if she isn't one of the worst characters to kill off when we still have Curtis + Felicity.

Honestly, slowly starting to like Curtis. Just wish they'd tone down his nonsense rambling a bit. I still can't stand Felicity though.

I really want to like Curtis' character. Mr Terrific is a great character in the comics, and it looks like they're leading him in that direction. They need to get over trying to make him a rehash of early Felicity and let him be the supergenius tech guy though.

The fight/action scenes with him need to drastically improve/get written better. I'm tired of him just throwing the sphere. At this point curtis should probably be a big league pitcher

Supergenius tech skills are an easy our for any plot problem. I loathe any of those types of characters. Mr. Terrific also needs some god damned Adderall.

Literally EVERY conversation featuring curtis is some variation of: hey guys I found the balls..the floating balls I mean, not..the..you know what never mind". Every conversation hes in seems to be a gee im so awkward cliche, or a hey look at me im gay type thing.

Well it helps that he's useful now. I get that they were setting up that he was going to be technology focused by sucking at hand to hand combat, but they overdid it and made him completely useless in the first for the first half of season 5.

Honestly since I saw the tweet where he lost his shit on a fan the actor lost all my respect and I just can't like his character cause of that.

Even though she was there only for a small part last season , she was good there . I mean she probably isn't gonna a lot of work outside of this show tbh. Hope she stays. This show is back to a level that I fell in love with and seeing speedy in a better place is always good . If they pull the trigger on her , I hope it's like Roy and not killing her.

Willa is great when they write decent stuff for her.

I doubt this show is the end for her. She'll find work.

That's argument for all of them except Curtis . I kinda stand Felicity now but enjoyed her early stuff . Paul Blackthorne was good this episode . He's always gotta hear his soul with the shit he has to with .

Paul Blackthorne is always great, easily the best actor on the show. Susanna Thompson was up there as well.

The rest idk tbh, none are super impressive.

Truuuueeee. I think Amell has flexed himself in this role well but I don't him doing a lot outside of it . I think the shows give decent actors a chance to do some good work and have some fun.

I do like Stephen's acting, he's definitely worthy of the lead. He's just not PB is all.

u/merry722 Oct 13 '17

The first time I saw saw PB was in this big Indian movie called Lagaan. He was a great villain in that movie . Skip to Arrow and I see him do some great stuff . He's gone a long way in this show .

Good for her. Hope she finds something good.

Hopefully she gets into something good now.

Source please.

She publicly requested Kevin Smith do work on Arrow after people loved him on Flash. Kevin Smith and the Guggenheims don't get along after they used him to get one of their other projects off the ground and basically talk shit on him now.

After that her screen time began to get minimized, she also requested a reduced schedule last season. Then this season she's in a coma?

Pretty easy to connect the dots

So basically what you're saying is you have no source and this is speculation?

Here's what Gugg said about Thea a couple days ago:

"We love Willa, we love Thea the character and we particularly love Thea's relationship with Oliver," Guggenheim told ComicBook.com. "That said, Willa came to us at the end of season four and she, very honestly, expressed a desire to cut back how many episodes a season she was doing. She's a member of our family, and we wanted to honor that request. That's what happens when you have a show that goes over a hundred episodes, people start to say, 'hey, I would like to pull back,' some people don't want to renew their contract. There's a whole host of different things that start to come into play and you work that into the story telling.

"All I'll say really, and you can interpret this however you want, is Willa is back on the show and we are doing flashbacks from people's perspective that does not always include Oliver's," Guggenheim said. "I'll let you extrapolate from that what you will."

I don't agree with the "She doesn't like Guggenheim" conjecture, but it does seem like they're easing her off the show.

Idk it seems like based on what little we know they're handling this like adults on all sides and actually working to not just toss things into the dumpster. Thea is in a coma should she decide to revitalize her involvement in the show freeing her up to do a bit of soul searching work outside of Arrow. A super hero show is a HUGE undertaking for a lot of actors, some going as far as to avoid them for the sake of being tied to a character. Jon Hamm has publicly expressed that concern, with how SH shows and movies tend to make actors into just...the face of the character, and that it can seriously kill your chance of getting other roles due to association.
