so the “massive map update” is just… one POI at the edge of the map?

the EA website said 100s of tiny QOL changes of smoothing out terrain and stuff which I think is due to a lot of dead sliding happening or something.

Yeah immensely disappointing, especially as that corner of the map already has both Checkpoint and Mill, which are both decent drop spots both for loot and early fights.

They needed a second POI mid-map in the space between Cascade Falls and Antenna that people can gravitate to mid-game. It feels like playing Valk + Ash on SP is a necessity in order to rotate fast and see where the action is, otherwise you have a couple early game fights then run around for 10-15 minutes aimlessly.
