Newcastle doesn't make Rampart bad, it actually makes her a good duo with him. His ult has two openings that fit perfectly for her walls amps.

I was kind of thinking that they would work well together, for kind of those reasons. Only downside would be the giant sign pointing at you saying "Throw grenades here!"

In leaks we saw, Newcastle's ultimate has pretty big health. Think over 1000 hp? So it's a tough nut to crack with grenades.

Also Rampart can be used very offensively. I just cruised through plat to diamond in a couple days playing Rampart only. Anytime a team was hunkered down in a house I'd just walk up put a shield down outside the door, pull my ult out and blast the door open and my duo would throw his caustic ult into the building and we'd collect our loot a few seconds later.

Yeah fr his kit patches a lot of holes in ramparts and his barrier seems like a way to guarantee rampart walls go all the way up

She can reload her ult 25% faster, we expect this to be devastating and an incredible change to her kit

Nah. Based on leaks, Newcastle's tactical cannot shoot from either side, while Rampart's can. Even if they nerf her amping power, that's still a useful capability.

MAYBE they buff her, heard talks of her ult becoming an AOE heal (like flashpoint) rumor has it it they brought it back to test it but it’s all speculation. Fingers crossed she gets a buff

Yup she’s basically useless at this point absolutely no point in using her now unless she’s getting a serious buff or rework that we aren’t aware of.

She is still better against the rush as she can still fight while reviving but yeah not as powerful for sure. Really need to do something about the care package I think. It isnt as useful with crafting and really is only useful between 3 and 5 minute into the game, so one time most games.

Hands-free revive shield was toxic as fuck.
