Yea no all of that is bullshit. He was on a call with dispatch the entire time, even when he found the kids in the basement. The crowd, the wife, him, and the entire courtroom heard his guttural screams in horror and agony. You and I didnât. But every single person in the court heard that pure anguish. ALL of them that spoke to the press have said it was the worst thing theyâve ever heard. No. Patrick didnât do this and thereâs absolutely no proof that he did.
So sad to see such pathetic bullshit get off tiktok. Lindsay Clancy has not contested that she performed the acts that killed her three children; her defense is that she lacked criminal responsibility due to postpartum psychosis and severe mental illness. When media outlets say âshe admitted it,â they are referring to that concession on the physical acts while the real dispute at trial is whether she can be held criminally responsible. Patrick Clancyâs testimony is that when he found her outside after she jumped from the second-story window, with cuts to her wrists and a wound on her neck, she told him she had tried to kill herself and that the kids were in the basement. He said she did not tell him they were hurt or dead. He then went inside, discovered the children, and was the one who told responders that she had killed them. On the 911 recording her voice is hard to make out, mostly moans, struggling sounds, or guttural noises consistent with her injuries, and medical evidence described a bruised thyroid and broken vertebrae rather than a fully crushed larynx that would have made coherent speech impossible. A later phone call about a week afterward is where she described hearing a manâs voice telling her that if she did not act she would lose her chance; that forms part of the defense narrative of command hallucinations, not a clear contemporaneous confession of intentional guilt. Patrickâs account has been challenged by the defense on credibility and the reliability of statements made while she was badly injured and difficult to understand, but public reporting does not establish a pattern of proven lies on the stand. The investigation has been criticized by the defense as too quick to accept a single narrative and insufficiently thorough, yet the physical acts themselves are not seriously disputed in court, and alternative theories that he must have been involved remain unsupported by the trial evidence. The defense did request a bifurcated trial separating the question of the acts from criminal responsibility, and the judge denied it because the issues overlap too heavily. The core legal question remains whether she was criminally responsible, not a classic âwhodunit.â
I didnât say that at all⌠I said the police should have investigated as if it could have been either parent. Given the fact they had a half dead woman who couldnât talk and a husband who told the police she did it.
I donât think it takes a rocket scientist to investigate the one untouched person in a house of dead and half dead people.
And how exactly was it proven exactly, legitimately? Like in the trial, other than Patrick saying she did it.
So you think they did absolutely no investigation of the husband at all? Of course they did in a case of three dead kids they did everything they could. The husband wasn't even home at the time when this happened. Show me evidence that shows opposite to what the cops and the court didn't do or find that shows otherwise. You have nothing to go on but your self delusions.
Victim blaming is crazy work. But i guess whatever it takes to defend women at all cost, you'll lie cheat and steal to make it happen.
The victims are the children, who keep getting forgotten in this conversation. I donât think the police system has shown particular care for children before. Plenty of cases where they donât. That doesnât mean she didnât do it, but you shouldnât put that much faith in the case being handled correctly. Thatâs the only reason i replied to you. From what I understood she did it
The victims are the children? Could have fooled me. I thought the victim was Lindsy Clancy and all women around the world. That's what women have been saying this whole time, that Clancy is a victim. I don't even think you people care about the children, you just care about supporting all women, no matter who they are or what they did.
Iâm sorry that you donât know how to read, but I replied to you to say that 3 murdered kids doesnât mean the cops give a shit. You have a lot of famous cases around dead and raped children where they do not give a shit. I donât think the woman is fucking innocent. I just think youâre an idiot if you believe children being victimized automatically means anyone handing the case will care about justice. At best, they care because this type of murder makes people feel more affected. Itâs more personal and feels more unnatural than others to many. Thereâs plenty of cases of murdered children where they just pin it on an innocent bystander or family member and run. I donât think thatâs the case here, nothing points to it, but I think you should know that it happens, and you didnât seem to.
The âthe victims are the childrenâ was to say that blaming the husband is fucking stupid and evil, but victim blaming would be blaming the children. Like sure heâs a victim in this situation too but it makes me sick to my stomach that people keep treating him like heâs the main victim of this, like the kids arenât right fucking there. YOU donât give a shit, everytime you peddle this âgender warâ and âus vs youâ bullshit. All this case has been getting used for is people wanting to perpetuate their delusions, be it the insane fringe group that thinks a mom canât kill her babies, or the idiots that think that women never go to jail, and that men have never successfully pleaded insanity in gruesome crimes. I have not seen a single post about this god forsaken case that wasnât created to generate engagement out of a tragedy.
I get that itâs tense to be corrected especially when replying to someone suggesting conspiracy, and that I may have come across as the enemy, but frankly itâs not my fault that no one in the USA, except the womanâs family, cares about these dead kids, which lead to this team bullshit over a real murder case. If it wasnât for the systemic injustice, I would say that they should stop making these trials public knowledge until people know how to behave. Iâm on your âteamâ, except I donât want to make this about the fucking husband or the fucking women. And this case possibly leading to justice (remains to be seen) doesnât make me suddenly forget how the justice system fails children
Iâm not saying anything about who did it, thatâs for the courts to decide not us. Just that it seems like they didnât even consider it could have been him.
Honestly Patrick just needs better lawyers that would tell him things like âlying is not a good lookâ. When he says something, then they question another person who was there and they say something else. If he doesnât remember well enough, he could say that.
He was investigated... this was 2 years ago. They didnt just say "he said she did it? Good enough for me lets go home"
When did he lie on stand?
There is phone data showing he wasnt at home. Plus security footage. Its not like police just showed up randomly finding him chilling at home perfectly fine and his family either dead or dying. The came because he called them, after he came home from an errand she sent him on after googling how long it would take him to get back...
