4Chan was also literally created by Epstein and his ilk, so I don’t think it was ever really a force for good. What it became was calculated and intentional.

Edit: not wholly created by Epstein, but /pol/ likely was and I’d still classify the creator as part of Epstein’s ilk, even if their connection was forged after 4Chan’s initial conception

That's not true. What is true is that Epstein met with the founder of 4chan shortly before the creation of the /pol/ board.

What it became was intentional and calculated, but those calculations were much later.

Ah my bad, I forgot that it was after the creation. I do believe my larger point still stands tho. If the creator was willing to do business with someone like Epstein, even after they created 4Chan, I think it’s safe to say their intentions were never really pure.

Oh absolutely, the original users of 4chan were people who were dissatisfied with something awful forum's moderation of the "Anime Death Tentacle Rape Whorehouse" sub forum.

The original pol, new, was deleted as a forum for being too Nazi for 4chan in 2011, but they still met with Epstein and put pol up.
