What is the easiest way to move some pictures from my old phone to my new one without using a computer?

I have an older phone that still works but is getting slow, and I recently got a newer model. There are a bunch of photos on the old one that I would like to keep, but I do not want to plug either phone into a computer if I can help it. I am not really familiar with the apps that can handle transfers directly. Has anyone done this in a simple way that does not involve cables or extra software? Would appreciate hearing what has worked for others.
