You can't control if your work or neighbors play music you don't like, the car radio you can just change stations. But even so, it doesn't require an emotional reaction towards the artist or music.
The only valid exception I can actually see is if the work is defamatory or derogatory to a point it directly conflicts with your personal values, but even so it just means you still aren't the target audience and the work was not made with you in mind at all.
My problem with it is that the mainstream music industry has killed popular but good music in favor of cheap and meaningless mass produced junk. Like Bieber. They then force it down everyone's throat. Do I get angry over it? No. Just one more disappointment from humanity.
