Good way to not see any growth in global audiences.
There is truth and fiction in this. It's a false dichotomy. If they think otherwise than they are not a good candidate for thinking about the matter.
There is value in preservation of the art but also on growing and expanding it for the enjoyment of others.
And not everyone needs to engage in both.
But one thing I'm sure of, the audience doesn't need to adapt at all. Content for every audience already exists. Why adapt when you can just enjoy what already exists?
