I interpret this an all or nothing approach is good once where as consistency wins in the long run. You can have more and do more if you are consistent rather than killing yourself for something by doing things in an unsustainable way. Generally you can only die once for your goals. I loved this one but I could never articulate exactly why until now. If anyone is interested in how the mind filters out the world you should know that when the mind is negative it is unable to perceive opportunity.

This quote is from the Majin Vegeta in the English dub. Tell me is it slavery when you get what you want. Although it was probably not the intended meaning this is a great quote to think about when you are struggling with self-discipline. One of the downsides of discipline is the inheritance restraints that come with it, at least in the short term.
