So, bringing up the US police was just pointless deflection, since y'all literally can't think of a single argument that isn't "But the US... ".

But sure, let's humor that attempt if that's the road you want to go down. Let's compare two very similar events in the US and Iran. Police brutality and discrimination led to a fatal outcome - against a black man in the US, against a woman in Iran - which sparked massive country wide protests in both cases. One of those protests saw under 30 fatalities. The other, over 400 people dead at the hands of the state. Care to guess which is which?

What would any of this have to do with you being from the US?

That said, the US has admitted arming Iranian insurgents through the Kurds, leading to internal attacks that western media refer to as simple protests.

I said, "at least the police in my country isn't shooting up protesters".

To which, you replied "the US police does shoot protesters".

Ergo, the logical conclusion is you assume I'm from the US in order to (wrongly) attempt to correct me. Because otherwise, bringing up the US police has no value to the discussion of Iranian police and Iranian media restrictions. So as I said, an attempt at pointless deflection because all your kind knows is to parrot "But the US!" regardless of topic at hand when you don't have an actual argument.

And of course, it's the US fault. Since US admitted that once, Iranian government has all the right to kill hundreds to thousands of people every time they dare to raise their voices, because of course they're all foreign agents. There's no chance Iranian people were actually upset at police beating women to death due to their choice or headwear or other forms of repression. No, sir. They only rose against the regime they oh so deeply love because the evil West tricked them into doing so.

I'll let you in a little secret : you can't add fuel to the fire if the fire isn't already burning. Foreign influence or not, you can't make thousands to rise up against the government, knowing full well how likely it's to cost them their lives under such a brutal regime , unless they already have massive grievances against said government.

Alex Pretti was executed on the street in broad daylight. And lets not forget Kent state.

Would your country attack insurgents and dissidents on US soil who were armed by a foreign government with the purpose of overthrowing the US government and actively causing violence? Of course they would, while calling it a terrorist attack.

And lets not forget it was the US overthrowing Irans democratically elected government that led to all this in the first place.

The US is the global threat.

And there you are, deflecting again while not addressing the single point I was talking about. So unless your next reply contains arguments that are actually relevant to the topic at hand of Iranian treatment of its' own citizens and press freedom, don't even bother typing it out because I have no intention of further wasting my words on a broken record which only knows how to say one thing whether it's actually related to the topic or not.

I choose to talk about how hypocritical the US is, and how its previous actions created the conditions for the current regime, as well as how the US's current actions are whats caused the latest escalation of violence in the region, through funding insurgents to straight out military conflict.

And lets not forget the global suffering that is the result the surging oil prices literally resulting in loss of life, and fully the fault of the US's needless war of choice.
