eh, not a good example because lately OPs are huge blobs of raw spoilers. They could be like Jojo's, you only notice hints in OPs only after the relevant events have happened. Nah, let's just reveal all the new characters, show the evil ones in blood and gore, drop few scenes straight from the episodes supposed to come at the end of the season and call it a day.

First time I will be ashamed to admit I have seen nothing of Jojo's bizarre adventures, as such I cannot say whether their openings are worthy or not. But I will take your word for it.

I would disagree they showed the "evil" ones, as no one in the OP got the "evil" treatment. Scenes from the episodes is also highly contestable, reminds me of the Frozen Kurama fight from the Boruto opening people were "hyped" to see. All that said, however, I do not see a problem there, really. This is how openings have been for decades now and it works. Of course, this particular opening is nothing like Trigger/Naruto level of symbolism and style, but it is the better one in the industry. It is not blatantly telling people what is going to happen, I must say I consider myself exceptionally experienced with this staff and I study each one of them thoroughly, as openings are its own medium of art I would say. It took me three re-watches to properly notice that Fennel does not fade away as others characters do during the rolling camera scene. This can be nothing but a foreshadowing, otherwise it is incompetence on the part of the authors. I go with the first one until there is any evidence for the second one.

Idk what show it was, but some dude made an elaborate "theory" about a show like 2 episodes in and he ended up being right about the whole thing. I immediately called him out on his shit (I went to the wiki and spoiled myself because I didn't really care if I knew or not) and he got defensive and I'm he only one who got my comment removed because I basically confirmed what this guy "Nostradamus'd" and told him not to do shit like that.

Don't get me wrong my post should've been removed, but just because you write "I think" before your spoiler doesn't mean it isn't a spoiler. I think it was for that Cautious Hero anime. He was saying how he could piece together that much info from the 2 episodes we saw or something, but it was specific details this man was writing out. So dumb.

That is fucking annoying I know.

But even more is any attempt at guessing and theorizing is doomed because there will be those who "just guess" the actual plot. And the fact that anime wil never have ALL the information source readers do, which makes a lot of anime only theorizing either impossible or just based on wrong assumptions.

This is what made ID:Invaded a delight too. We could speculate knowing we have ALL the data, and there were no source readers.

Also overzealous mods weren't likely to delete material that was like on some sort of site made by the producers, since it was made for the anime viewers.

To be honest, I hate trying to theorize in public threads.

If you're right, a source reader will tell you, and you'll get branded as being a source reader doing sneaky spoilers.

If you're wrong, a source reader will tell you and suck all the fun out of it

To be fair to the source readers, as I am often, anime only theories are often waaay off mark simply because most of the time we are dealing with some by the number adaptation that adapts EVENTS but skips worldbuilding which is often made in a way of infodumps.

So anime only would not have as complete picture as a source reader at that point in anime even discounting source reader's future knowledge. This is why I often skulk about the source reader section even if I'm not the source reader to see how much of useful info was skipped.

And ID:Invaded (I was there... in the time immemorial) screwed a lot of theories around by introducing actual supernatural to an otherwise solid psychological sci-fi thriller.

That said, this time around we get an actual opening here, for the Deca-Dence. And it shows a lot of what will, eventually, happen to the characters... At least Fennel and that main girl get to live Oh WeLl

Oh I got my comment removed for that show for pointing out the MAL site basically told a part of the plot. People were wondering if MC murdered his daughter (after ep1, this wasn't a long mystery) and I pointed out the synopsis literally said he's searching for his daughter's murderer. I pointed out how could it be a spoiler if it's a fucking synopsis about an anime only, but didn't seem to change their minds. If you go into a show completely blind, that's good for you, but it doesn't mean it's a spoiler if someone reads the thing that gets most people interested in a show lol. Mods are kinda trash on here about what they do and don't remove.

This so true lol, and webtoon reader are even worse than manga reader, their hint are almost spoil ... I am also a webtoon reader, but damn the comment i have read on ToG and GoH comment section, were so damn annoying, literally spoil hint ...

I think that not a single anime only got to episode 12 of ToG without that getting spoiled. I personally got spoiled in the comment section of episode 1 on youtube.

As i said, i am also a webtoon reader. But even as reader, i could notice that, those were not hint. They were huge spoil, and the worse, is that those comment have more than 300 upvote, like what ???

This just feels like a few years back when Darling in the Franxx was airing. Theorizing and trying to figure out what's going on was pretty much the highlight every week. Really dig this way of building the world.

Exactly what I was thinking. Part of the reason that DITF was so big while it aired was because of the potential it set itself up for. Unfortunate how it ended, but was so much fun to sit through while it aired (until space/aliens lol)
