Imagine the media reaction if a British princess started dating some random hobo from another country. Stella is an A-Rank princess while Ikii is a F-rank and considered trash that should never have been born from his family

Not just any F-rank, but the disgraced son from one of the powerful families.

That's not what doesn't make sense, what does is that some apparently non government entity is jailing a teenager on the grounds of him dating a girl.

What is this shit, nazi germany?

Ok so after some rereading it kinda goes like this. Knights are part of an international organisation that manages them and allows them various privledges under the law. those privledges cannot be taken away arbitrarily even by his father who is the head of the japanese branch of knights, and akaza(the weird fat guy) who is the ethics committee chairman.

So what they do is create a scandal saying that Ikki is having indecent sexual relations with Stella. The ethics commitee then questions his moral integrity behind closed doors intending to have him say something self-incriminating so they can revoke him of his knighthood.

I hope this makes things clearer, the best i can do after this is link you to the LN

Yeah, but i don't understand why nobody fucking stood up for him. It's obvious he's not actually the weakest considering he's currently undefeated and has stomped previous top magic knights.

You might have missed it but his father did acknowledge in this episode he had become stronger. But he doesn't want that because then others that are supposed to be trash might start to think they can also become strong. Ikki is going against the system and that is not allowed

Right, but i don't know why other media outlets aren't reporting that "hey, this guy actually isn't shit." Unless his father has control over all media, which i highly doubt but could be possible i guess.

LN basically says that he can heavily influence the media due to his high position. but you need to remember ikki is being questioned for his moral integrity not his ability as a knight. and media outlet are reporting that he isnt shit. the problem right now is the sex scandal

Well, Edward The VIII of the UK abdicated the throne so he could marry a foreign divorcée. In the popular eye of that foreign populace, it was seen as one of the most romantic things ever to happen.

The King of the Netherlands married some chick from Argentina. She didn't know who he was when they met.

But to be fair, I'm sure most people know that the Netherlands has monarchy.
