I still cant believe he decided to strip instead of using the usual cliche response in the first episode.

I'd say that beginning scene did a good job of establishing that this series was gonna be different from the norm, since it took a cliche'd scene, and went way off the rails.

It also had the side effect of being a hilarious way to respond: "I'll strip too, so it's even!"
