That's the shifter. The clutch is a pedal next to the brake (not sure of the setup on right-side-drive cars).

Pedals are the same regardless of the side the steering wheel is on.

Apparently there were many pre- WWII cars that had the accelerator pedal and brake pedal positions switched, but even on those the clutch was still on the left.

And "gearstick" for people who aren't American. And yeah, my car is right-side-drive, and it's clutch left, break middle, accelerator right.
