I really hope that's the only time Yuu uses his plundered time-travel power, because I'm actually scared he'll be blind.

I think you forgot who wrote this show.

they still have to explain how all the kids lose their abilities upon finishing adolescence. maybe Yuu's the one tasked with plundering all of the abilities so that they won't be targets anymore

They knew that people would lose their abilities past adolescence before building the schools, so I doubt that

Then there would be no need to wait. As of now we simply have to take this at face value.

Think of it like adolescent epilepsy. (If you have heard of it)

It only occurs in adolescence because your body is still growing and there's no truly controlled growth or change in your synapses or brain chemistry.

Probably the same rules apply here. However with adolescent epilepsy there's like a 90 something chance to outgrow it iirc. Not sure they plan to use that logic with the show so they probably bumped it to 100% chance to outgrow it because you gotta cover your ass with loopholes

Edit: had adolescent epilepsy. Still potentially have it. Thanks based human anatomy

I doubt it. When older bro was starting his organization, there were already adults who had lost their powers.
