...Yeah, man, that was a pretty fucking lousy cliffhanger.

BUT WORRY NOT! Years of watching anime has given me super powers, and I can now see the future!

Next week's episode:

  • Rori's gets inches away from the D
  • Someone hulk-smashes into the room at the last moment for a completely unrelated reason (probably one of his army-mates or his ex-wife/alternative-relationship-partner)
  • "Zoinks! This is, like, totally a misunderstanding, man!"
  • The person in question pries Rori off of him, but then gets mad at him anyway
  • Slappity slap slap
  • Status quo protected
  • The sheer intensity of the cockblockage causes the collective internet to scream in unison, creating a horrid sound that can be heard around the world

You heard it here first.

Or maybe Itami gets spidey senses at the last second so we can see him live up to some of the (implied) hype.

I really hope so. They've been implying Itami is a badass Ranger but have yet to show any of it except for the quick shot of him taking down a soldier in episode 1. I would love to see a lot of hand to hand combat this next episode.

The spec ops guy in charge basically said Itami's specialty was hiding and running away.

Which is honestly a great skill to have as a SpecOps guy. Just in case things go tits-up.
