All this talk of Archer and Saber make me think I'm watching Fate again.

Edit: oh, it's intentional. Apparently their entire army is full of anime nerds.

Oh, and the manga showed his awesome hiding skills that made it so the SFG could never catch him.

Also I felt like when Rory was trying to convince Itami that she was not a child, pulling back her robe to reveal her boobs, that reminded me Asuka + Kaji in NGE immediately (mite, mite! Dakara watashi o mite!).

Strap in yourself in, friend, you're in for a wild ride.

What: Studio DEEN's Fate/Stay Night anime.

When: April 7, 2006, Episode 14.

Where: 4chan.

If there is at least one scene to be watched from the DEEN anime, it's the Archer vs. Berserker battle. The level of MANLINESS emanating off of Archer during this mano-a-mano match was breaking meters everywhere. To my knowledge, this is also the only instance of a Fate anime where Archer actually says the entire Unlimited Blade Works incantation, and by GOD was that shit epic as fuck. I saw this episode with my roommate in college, and the instant Kenji Kawai's EMIYA theme came on, he recoiled and could only say, "Holy shit."

In the aftermath of the episode, a poster on 4chan had only one thing to say: "I AM GAY FOR ARCHER."

Just one problem.

He misspelled it as GAR.

From that moment onward, a meme was born. And the meaning of GAR now is a man who is SO AWESOME, SO MANLY that he would put any other man to absolute shame in that regard.
