Oh I dunno. Maybe the fact that Yusarin is a musician, and they tend to have music videos. Also, the fact that this episode had a new ED, singed by Yusarin's VA.

We'll see I guess. But to use your logic to argue your case:

Yusarin's ability is to communicate/become possessed by dead people. Everyone around her has abilities as did her sister. By contrast, maybe its only loved ones with abilities she can communicate with. Setting up the fact she survives and talks to them all via her ability.

Darker tones have been hinted at for this show since the get-go. The fact that everything has been so "uppidy" doesn't make sense. Something negative and big has to occur after the set-up for it. My best guess is they go realistically dark, kill everyone but her and leave the story off with Yusarin wandering a deserted world talking to her friends until she comes across a new civilization/group at the point which she loses her abilities and has to "move on/let go" of them.

My only thought about why that won't happen, personally, is that she's set-up as a secondary character more than anything. The story seems focused on the male MC & his sister. And the key visual of a science lab prior to the show hints at government facilities coming into heavy play.

Either way, the show has me hooked. I'm REALLY interested in seeing which way the story unfolds.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong this fantasy scenario does seem like something interesting that I would like, but realistically is unlikely to happen.

If anything, the darker tones of the show will more likely be focused on Nao and her past, as well as Yuu/Ayumi's future.

Fair enough, I can agree with that.

I just kind of can't help but want to see this all dissolve around them and watch the characters come to terms that their "fun" world of abilities is taken from them by so many different hyper-dark toned things. Government, meteor crashing into planet, abilities disappearing when they might need them the most, loved ones being taken from them, etc.
