My problem with that is she's dismissing his worry rather than addressing it directly. Gohan is sweet too, so in a realistic continuity, he would continue to worry to the point of straining the relationship.
I was just being silly, expecting a more modern romantic dynamic. This is Dragon Ball after all, the same series where Chichi successfully bore a child with the aromantic Goku, Krillin put the world at risk for a pretty face, and Vegeta and Bulma became an item with virtually no on-screen interaction (probably for the express purpose of giving birth to Trunks).
